TL;DR version

eagles 2025 played flawless against a shaky Chiefs team with shit O line and had no mistakes vs teams like ravens/bills in AFCC, Niners 2024 SB or eagles 2023 SB (shitload of mistakes with fumbles, special team turnovers and interceptions allowing us to get back in or crazy DOINKing field goals).

Beyond the Super Bowl, the Chiefs went 10 - 0 (I believe) in one score games last year - they didn't blow many teams out, they did just enough to beat the competition.

Your Bill Barnwells of the world would be the first to mention that one score game scenarios are the most likely to regress to the mean the next year (aka on average, a team with the Chiefs' situation would lose more games this year).

Although Barnwell himself has noted in the past certain QB's with greater ability than normal to win one score games. Brady's career winning % in them was .782. Mahomes' career record in one score games is 89-23, which is an even higher win % than Brady's at .794. Now 10-0 tough to repeat, but his normal "Regression" for a record like that would be to see teams come back to 5-5 or even a losing record, whereas for Mahomes it's likely 8-2 or 7-3.
