Speaking as a Packer fan, that game went exceedingly well. I think that looking at the last two games, this might be the best GB D that I have seen in my lifetime. On the Offense, we pretty much overpowered the Commies with two of our O Line starters out which is god damn amazing. Love is hanging on to the ball a little longer than I would like and we left some points on the field (Refs were flag happy all night to both teams), but we moved the ball up and down the field. With our Defense, 27 is going to be more than enough to get it done. My only real concern is our kick coverage looks dicey. That pass rush was ferocious though, and if they actually called the holding that was going on every play this would have been a complete blowout.
For the Commies, I think they gave up on the run way too soon and they should have kept with the no huddle offense. They simply could not get any rhythm on Offense prior to garbage time because they got impatient early. Defense still needs work, which was expected, but their zone D just got torched and needs some overhauling. Their kicker is fine (our guy who is really good blew one last night to, so I think it was the weather/wind in play impacting the kick game) so don't go panic mode there. I think they will be competitive, but they have some things to work out for sure.
Hilariously, the fans were chanting "Thank you Jerry" in the post game interview when Parsons came out. That dude is clearly loving it here. Thank you Jerry is also on a billboard in the area according to my parents who live in Wisconsin still, which is hilarious. I am not going to go all Cowboys fan and declare Superbowl Champs after two games, but we looked really good out there and just put away two playoff contenders in 5 days to start the season. It is hard not to be excited.
