It’s a Korean MMO. Do you even need to ask?Besides the sub and battle passes + cosmetics (I'm fine with all of these as a way to monetize), how bad is the p2w?

You can buy Kinah (gold) directly from the shop in Asia, which makes any attempt to defend the P2W stupid. Remains to be seen what we get in NA.Besides the sub and battle passes + cosmetics (I'm fine with all of these as a way to monetize), how bad is the p2w?
Its entirely possible to play this F2P and have fun. Its entirely possible to play this with the battle passes and subs and you can be competitive
I don't disagree, I have been rather direct in this thread that I don't see this lasting very long in the West (hot take, I know). I think we will see the vast majority quit after one month but there is enough here and lack of alternative MMO options that some will likely play this for a lot longer. The same could be said for Diablo Immortal. Up until 2-3 months in.
P2W tends to ramp up over time, rather than be something that can immediately be felt impacting the game experience.
This game has a 2 month shelf life before it's completely unplayable.

Hoping you actually play this at launch so we can MMO together a bit!
I'll be there, that's why I'm messing around on the TW server, got my sin to 45, and dabbling with a ranger and glad. Not messing with endgame much, since I don't wanna do all that shit over again, and the 190 ping makes the interactive boss mechanics a pain in the fucking ass (death waves that makes you sprint or jump, etc ugh). Just wish the devs would lay off all the stacked, redundant systems and work on real content.
This is the correct approach. Avoid bonding with characters like you did with Lost Ark. Sin is certainly going to be a popular choice (likely behind Ranger because NA loves Rangers). Imagine we see a lot of need for supports though.

Dear fuck, while this is a nice video, this is so much fucking random shit. 20billion type of currencies, lots of daily and weekly stuff to keep track of, 350 types of progression in gearing, looks like so much fucking busywork just for the sake of it. It looks like a 20years old MMO systems when there's been shit added over and over and again, but it's all there from the start somehow. Makes gachas look clean and simple.
