goddamn Mon Mothma on ectasy dancing like a 90s rave is so hot, i'd kill many bothans for her. Most of the women on this show are hot as fuck, even the imp techie in episode 1 had one phat ass. maybe a bit too jiggly body for most guys but damn that ass

DJ Party Probe Droid was awesome

i know some people are gonna hate the obvious metaphor of immigrants / illegals / farm labor but I thought it was pretty interesting seeing the contrast between most of the galaxy that is scraping to survive (most Americans) and the Chandrilian elite who don't have any depravations and live just as good or better under the Empire (billionaires, politicians).

First 3 is definitely slow but I really enjoy these wide looks at the Empire 4 years before the fall, I don't quite get the relationship incel guy and feminazi have (another super hottie she can mein kampf me any day) but she has a sick apartment.

Next 3 episodes should be another 1 year time jump

I liked it cause it shows there are answers to mundane shit like "How do people move to a new planet that isnt a backwater shithole", and due to that its another tool the Empire can use to control people. Shit like this fleshes out the world so damn well you dont even think about it, it just natural shit. Very happy with the three so far, I love slow shows so I have NO complaints.

Their shit just reminds me of Dwight and Angela from The Office. It's so fucking awkward and weird but who the hell else would they end up with?

I thought the ep1 heist was great, an amusing poke at the general star wars trend of 'spaceships are basically magical horses, anyone can ride one to anywhere in zero elapsed time and they don't need fuel'

Yea Deedra has no parents and no sense of real love from anyone other then the love she made up in her head coming from the Empire. Dude saved her life and is asking for nothing obvious in return cause her worships her. It also fulfills her power fantasy of keeping control of everything in her life including taking his mothers power over him away and replacing it with her own.

Its the perfect relationship for both of them, and I am glad they are keeping it awkward, it toally would be.

I also want to give props to Mon Mothma for this arc, she is truly embracing that the Rebvellion is out of her control and is embracing this may be it. Her accepting that her childhood friend had to be terminated and did her best to let her fears go and go with the act was great. Considering she was a bit role from an actress Lucas randomly found and turned out to be great on her own was a huge win would building.

Her actress is amazing. I also like how it tied right into Perrin's speech that he gave about trying to just use the merriment to drown away all the bullshit in life.

we just watched a 75m budget (25m per episode), 70m of that was probably costume design

did you count how many different outfits she was wearing?

no really 25m/per and andor was basically tied up in a jungle, which is like 5m, at best, hiring the dumbest actors, while they spend the rest of the budget on the high life

The third episode sure got dark.

It's mostly good so far as long as you can appreciate the hour+ slow burn setups and then the concurrent payoffs (I do), but what was with the crew of dipshits on Yavin? A couple days of getting hangry and they're ready to literally murder each other and then transition to rock paper rawr! or whatever the fuck that was? Maybe I missed some exposition, I found my attention wandering over to the phone during those scenes.

Was she in any of George Lucas's movies? Apparently that same actress was in Revenge of the Sith but the scene got cut from the final release, pretty wild thats over 20 years ago!!

She appears in Rogue One as well (Tony Gilroy) but not sure what other movies/shows, specifically Star Wars, she was in. She is absolutely nailing it though, the show is absolutely brilliant in focusing so much attention on her and Luthen since Cassian Andor himself is a pretty boring ass character.

A lot of the seeds of the rebel alliance ironically were started by Anakin Skywalker, like he trained many of these rebel cells in the clone wars animated show and we are seeing it all slowly come together. Someone also pointed out on twitter there is a face mask in Luthen's shop in episode 1 that is the same one used by Plo Koon from the prequels/clone wars.

The current Mon Mothma actress showed up in Ahsoka and also apparently does Mon's voice in current cartoons (I don't watch them).

But jesus christ people, I may be borderline assburger, and even I could recognize that Mon's dancing was supposed to be symbolic of the crew recognizing that their old lives are over - it's just pure war from now on.

Media literacy is dead my dude. Subtext is now a plothole and boring and confusing to zoomers. Im going to support shows like this in the one or twice a year they come out cause thats the only way they will continue to get made

This show is really great at using set pieces to elevate the material. The entire Mon Mothma arc in the first 3 episodes completely taking place within the confines of the wedding is kind of brilliant. Whereas George Lucas would've had them sitting on sofas in Coruscant, belching out exposition, the writers here instead give us something interesting to look at and also use the events of the wedding to build subtext. We didn't need the wedding to learn any of the information that moves the plot forward, but they use it masterfully. They care about the story they're telling and it shows

This is why there are so many poorly written shows that have to spell out shit like Dora the Explorer

"Do YOU see what message we are trying to show you? Where's the message? Do you see it???" as it hovers 8 inches away from your damned face

The White Lotus does this all the time. It's a fun show, but the writing is pretty bad and they think the audience is retarded
