Its either you like the show or not. I mean, who the fuck cares what some bitch from the interwebs thinks? You already saw the first season and either you liked it enough to watch the second, or not. They are not going to alter their formula that much from season to season.

Yeah, but the last 3 seasons of GoT sucked because the retard showrunners had to start writing instead of adapting existing material. Gilroy is still in charge here.
And Luna refused the request from Disney to make it more than 2 seasons. They know the story they want to tell and they knew from the start how they wanted to execute it.

That's the reason it isn't getting more than two seasons? I thought it was the horrendous per episode budget. Just have Andor return to his home planet. It even makes sense in universe.

The initial idea was to do a year per season leading to Rogue One. But then they realized that would be something like 12-15+ years of their real lives at the pace they are going. There's an interview with Gilroy where he talks about it but its long enough ago I can't find it again.

Am I the only one annoyed with Dedra's backstory?
I think it's very unclear how old Dedra is supposed to be - she's 45 in real life, but the show seems to be portraying her as a young up and comer - but unless she's supposed to be in her early 20s, the orphanage line makes no sense. Because of George fucking up the timeline, Palps only took over 15 years before this episode. Sure, I can see someone like Dedra Rightspeaking it as always having been an 'Imperial' facility when she was there when it was originally Republic, but it just doesn't make sense that she 'grew up' there.
I guess I could sort of buy that when Dedra was a young teen/preteen (like 12 or 13), her parents were arrested immediately when Palps took over, and Dedra spent her teen years getting fed / conditioned by Imperial propaganda, and she's now supposed to be late 20s after turning her teenage angst into hatred for the Republic, but its pretty flimsy.
(Hell, Anakin/Vader is only 37 at this point - both Dedra and Syril's real life actors are older than that.)

she said she became an orphan at 3 years old. Revenge of the Sith is 19 BBY, Andor is 5 BBY. She goes into a republic orphanage at age 3 at 29 BBY (Palpatine is chancellor), at age 13 Palps takes over, would place her at 27 years age during Andor and she would have spent 5 teenage years under Imperial orphanage which is prime time for imperial conditioning.
While obviously its a bit of a stretch for a 45 year old actress to play a 27 year old (she was younger when filming) I think its fine, she looks believable. If you wanna look at unbelievable I started watching Alto Knights last night, fucking 81 year old DeNiro is playing dual mob bosses in the 70s and it looks ridiculous.

Maybe I am just flat too old. When great writing, acting, and production design come together it should be celebrated. Never had to deal with Critical Drinker videos being posted in the Better Call Saul or Mr. Robot threads. Its too bad when its Childrens IP the man children come out to play and shit on any attempt to make something that grown ups can enjoy.
Honestly its for the best this shit is ending this season. Disney can go back to bad attempts at films and shows that the YouTubers can pretend 10 year olds are watching (when those kids are actually watching TikTok instead and dont give a fuck about Star Wars). Then they can complain on their channels and get hate views for terrible conent they put 5 minutes of effort into
