Denaut Denaut toss us your friend code :)

I plan on invading all your islands! (If kids are playing this I am guessing placing random dick art all over your tropical paradises it out of the question)

I don't have the game yet and, no offense, I keep FoH cut off from the rest of my online presence as much as possible so I won't be posting it here. It wouldn't be hard to find me elsewhere if you looked but that doesn't mean I will be friending anyone.

Only "Best Friends" can ruin your island, so don't worry about people chopping down all your trees or digging up all your fossils

This is my first AC game and I'm really in love with it. Here are some things I like and dislike:

  • Overall, the game just continually gives me those little feelings of "surprise and delight" that Nintendo is known for. The sounds, menu items, loading screens, visuals, music, gameplay are all just so engaging and wonderful and exude such a feeling of craftsmanship and artistry. It just feels the opposite of the buggy, bloated piece of shit games we are so used to nowadays (I've been playing Breakpoint with my son for a point of comparison). Consistent, fun, light-hearted and positive. Basically the opposite of every game I've ever played.
  • The characters are cute and engaging and the dialog is really well written. Blathers especially is a hoot. I almost always dread interacting with any NPC in any game but in this one I actively search these folks out to see what they have to say. I keep on chuckling when I bring a new insect to ignite Blathers' horror.
  • The game encourages you to play it at a different pace. Sure, you could go beserk and hoard 500 soft wood - but why? The fact that the game is tied to real-world cycles puts an interesting twist on how often you play and what experience you have. For the first time I played late last night and ran into a "ghost". It was cute and funny and made me happy.
  • From a dislike perspective, I do think the islands themselves are a bit small. I haven't unlocked ladders yet; but even still. The mystery-adventure islands are even smaller. So that's a bit disappointing. Not as much exploration as I was hoping. Also, there's no fucking way I'm letting my kids inhabit my island so they are fucked.
  • The gameplay is simple and kind - but maybe too simple. The fishing mini-game, for example, could do with something extra. But who knows. The simplicity is obviously intentional.
I definitiely encourage anyone who is on the fence to buy this game; as long as you know what you are getting into. This is not a min-max beserk fest of production. It is a cute, silly, fun, endearing chill game.

When are you fuckers opening up your islands? I was ready to head to spronk spronk 's private beach house and sell all my pears to the socialist democrat Nook over there and bankrupt his economy. But noooo.... I must be on a no fly list.

I would have even planted a few pear trees for you!

i don't understand how that shit works, do i have to be logged in to open it up? i opened it up twice and told it to invite everyone on my friends list (you are on it) but tbh i am not gonna be playing much, i find the game super boring. my wife is playing on her own switch but she's been busy with family stuff so hasn't asked to visit my island yet

How deep do you have to go into this game to have enjoyment? i.e... wife and kids

Was thinking of getting this for my wife as she is about to have a baby and be home + the school @ home...and she is going to go batty...

its easy. A lot of everything is based on RL time. For instance, you pay off your first mortgage on your tent and airfare, you wait a day, wake up, and you have a new house with new things to do, more to craft, a new mortgage, and access to go to myserious islands or friends islands. Time gates are very common so you can play as little or as much as you want and it doesn't matter. Lots of fun shit to do for kids though. Teaches them they have to pay the man (Tom Nook) and work ethic (The grind) to get a new house (life advancement) and how to stave off vandalism (Stoping me from entering your island and placing rocks in dick pic formations on the grass).

All in all, kids will love it.

Got the game yesterday - paid off my tent, Nook built me a new house - and Blather's showed up who wants me to donate fish, bugs, and fossils so he can build a museum. Today I woke up, saw my new house, saw I owed Hitler Nook 98,000 bells (Paying that down in increments) and started with new tools to decorate my house, etc. Went to a island because Toom Nook wants to build a new store, so guess who does the work for him? Yep. Me. So waiting for a new day again tomorrow to be able to get the rest of the resources when rocks respawn and shit. Or, I could grind it out and fly to another island (Hvae to buy a Nook ticket first because Nook controls the entire world like a true Despot).

What would rock? on day 700 this game turns into advanced wars and I can kick Nooks ass with my own military.

(Its a very charming little gem of a game)

I’m not giving you access to my kids account. This isn’t Pedophile Crossing: Epstein’s Island!

You have passed the first test in Animal Crossing! Congratulations on your achievement.

FYI: One Island for one switch. So while you can have others in your family join, it's tied to progress on the main (and first) player of the game.
