Trakanon Raider
Specifically referring to positional audio? The Cycle: Frontier, which was exceptional. The Battlefield games gave me more positional audio information than Arc Raiders. My most common squad partner says he prefers Counterstrike and Hunt: Showdowns, though I do not play either. What games are you playing that sound better than Arc Raiders, please point me toward them.
Again, I am not talking about audio in general, and with practice I've learned to make it work. A lot of turning the camera back and forth to get the correct specific direction instead of 'thataway'. Also, sound cues as refers to elevation are not as good. I haven't played Tarkov in forever so I can not speak to it specifically. Other than that though, I am a glutton for extraction games and this one's audio in the genre is mid. Its not bad nor the worst, but after all the hype and glazing and how glowingly people spoke of 'The Finals' (which I have not played) I perhaps was guilty of expecting more, especially as the tech exists in other games. What this game is, is a good entry into the extraction genre. Its not super punishing with gear loss. Its not super 'deep knowledge' based like Tarkov. It rewards skilled gameplay but doesn't feel super sweaty compared to some others, and I think that is by design.
Cosmetics in this game need serious work btw. Not being able to mix and match hats with different outfits? Come on now. Give me more incentive to buy shit so I can mix and match it.
Lastly, do we need to set up a gear and blueprint exchange? I am starting to fill up on blueprints and am running out of people who I play with regularly to pass them to.
