I put $200 or so in the month I played. Founders and some extra coins but quit after I saw all the hacks and dupes on certain unmentionable sites and forums. Some of that happens in many games but what is happening in AA is far and above the normal.

I don't need a game that bad to fill some hole in my life or schedule to put up with all the shit going on. Pretty ridiculous really and reminds me of shadow bane (hack /exploit / dupe wise)

I'm so glad I rolled on Ezi; I see so many complaints about blatant bots/hacks/cheats/whatever from many of the servers released initially, yet I can honestly state I have yet to see anything of the sort over here aside from the occasional hackusation tossed about shortly after land is demolished. The most I've seen is a forum post over on the official forums of a pair of bots on Auroria farming Heedmar and teleporting through walls; aside from that, nothing widespread, nevermind anything witnessed first-hand or even transmitted throughout the community on either side.

Maybe it's the smaller population, who knows, but I'm still perfectly content with the game. Given I was coming from Battlefield prior to this, I'll have to second whomever stated in the previous page that the game is "relaxing" more often than not. Until someone tries to fuck with my fishing boat.

While you may have neverseenany hacks, they certainly do effect you. The game is heavy on economy, moreso than most MMO's. Since the auction houses are based on clusters, hacks on one server effect the economy on all servers in your cluster.

If you're still enjoying yourself, more power to you though. I'm glad I moved on because Trion can't seem to stop stepping on their own dicks with Archeage.

Still having fun playing with a friend. Nothing spent on the game. I actually find it relaxing too. Still trying to get our fucking cars :/

Really wish they would wake up and do something about all the cheating/botting but at this point I'm so used it to that I don't get upset anymore.

Played on some friend's alpha account before actually buying some, so ?130. Shortly after release I spent another ?100 on marketplace during the labor pot boogaloo. Was part of my guilds' release rush, aka Hasla weapons with full mag gear within the first two weeks. It was a nice setup until, 2 months from release, we encountered unknown players with delphinad weapons, mauling everyone like they were ants. Some of them clearly exploited (their guild got blanket bans because they were early APEX abusers).

I don't really regret putting ?230 into Archeage, I had a lot of fun and I think it's a nice game only crippled with incompetent korean developers and powerless western publishers. I don't really blame them, I was well aware of the game state prior release. It's like going to some Tijuana escort bar, getting maximum overdrive sex : you know you're gonna get scammed, you know it'll burn and you'll figure it out as soon as the tequila wores off. Doesn't matter, had fun.

Has there ever been a successful korean MMORPG that was properly managed by a western publisher? The korean dev is always going to have ultimate control over what happens with the game.

Seems like a combination that is doomed to fail.

I'm curious if some players would of even lasted that long (2 months) if they had not invested that kind of money into the game.

Has the 5 days actually been updated onto anyone's account yet? Mine still showing the old expiration date as well as several people in my guild/on my server that i've talked to.

I was banned 18 days for no reason and I got a few extra days of patron. The masses can't play for 2 days and they get labor/loyalty/patron? fuck you.

I know that feel; while also working on the push to delphinad.

I could write a book on why ArcheAge is a failure. The newest chapter would include releasing the Red Dragon in spite of the fact that it is currently tuned for level 55 players and not level 50 players.

Not that it means anything but AA horror launch (and aftermath) getting voted as the top MMORPG store of 2014 (even more than the Titan cancellation).
