Asia (or Japan maybe) would be incredibly easy to pull off, I don't know why Ubisoft is so reluctant to go there. Tokyo was an absolute massive city already in the 18th century so we could get something more interesting than pirate slums or early Boston. Use the european traders to bring in the Templar/Assassin conflict, tie it to some shenanigans with the japanese emperor; there's your story.

Templars are already in the Asian fields in some means - they had the Asian (female) Templar in AC4 for that one brief section.

Nope, literally if you've killed her - her interaction is done. (unless her relation to someone else was something I missed down the line - if so though her hubby would be white, all the villains after her are)

Seems like a pretty strong indicator that they're planning on a SEA AC then.

I'll have to revisit watching that closer when I replay it for PS4 trophies (they don't share trophies from PS3/4) to see if I agree or not - was subtle enough I missed it being anything of real note on my PS3 playthrough.

But I do expect an Asiatic one, just doubts about it tying in. (After all how much did Connor tie into this one? Just the exclusive DLC barely - and that you're playing a Kenway that's technically related)

I'm still hoping for Napoleonic France soon. I'm curious how Napoleon and Robespierre would be re-cast in the light of the game's conflict.

Isn't UBI based out of France primarily though? I can imagine with their "dark interpretations" of things and French pride they'd put that one down far on the list until they're ready to sunset the series if so.

Maybe it's just my ignorance but I'm really not excited about yet another AC in that time period based on colonialism and fighting Europeans with muskets and wooden war ships.

does the PC version crash and shut down directX for anyone else? I tried playing yesterday, got through the french black chick DLC no problem, but on the main game after I kill the guy at the start the game crashes and then DirectX games wont work at all until I reboot my PC

It is the pirated version, since I own the PS4 version, so maybe just a bad crack. might have to just end up playing on ps4, but not sure if its shitty crack or shitty port.

Revolutionary France has very little to do with naval engagements or colonists. It should be more like AC2/B/R+gunpowder. It's a prime period for the Assassins to disrupt the Templar's hold on Europe as some of the Parisians tried to create an atheist faith along with a republican government. It would also be nice for the Assassins to have the upper hand for once as Napoleon goes on a rampage. And then the European charter, along with the French Republic, are snuffed out with finality.

I had no crashes. Perfect stability. I'm going to miss this era of console ports. I need to upgrade my PC for the next era.

Next era should be much better as consoles are more aligned with PC and there's no cell processor bullshit. Besides that, an upgrade is a thing to look forward to, like finally having a reason to ditch your class epics after 3 years. I'm tired of low res textures!

Yeah, I've put a good 20-30 hours into the PC version(downloaded a cracked version a week before release) and have had zero crashes. Graphics cranked to max at 1920x1200 the entire time.
