Assassins Creed Pirates Sets Sail in December | Side Mission | GameTrailers

While you still might be sailing the adventurous seas of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft today announced that the next game in the franchise, Assassin?s Creed Pirates, will be available for high end smartphones and tablets on December 5 on the App Store, on Google Play and on the Amazon Appstore for $4.99.

The game, which was developed by Ubisoft Paris and features a brand new mobile engine, delivers brutal naval combat, Caribbean exploration and an epic quest for legendary treasure in the palm of your hand. Here's an official description of the game:
That looks pretty good. I'd never get it but still.

Note: L55 for MP is proving not so bad or annoying to do - about 2-3 levels a match running Wolfpack solo while making sure to keep Challenges in mind for the bonus XP - slowing now that I'm done most of the single player ones, but still averaging 1.5 or so at 40.

The estimates on 10-15 hrs are quite possibly realistic for those that are interested in 100%/Platinuming the game via Wolfpack. (Minus learning curve time - I was already familiar)

Fuck I love this game. Most enjoyable game I've played since Bioshock Infinite. Best game of the 2nd half of 2013 for sure(yeah, I like it more than GTA5)

I like the setting, but I wish they would stop enticing "completionists" with all these artifacts, especially when they're scattered across the sea. Collecting things somewhat encouraged exploration in the previous installments but it's just tedious in this game. After a few minutes of finding Animus fragments on small islands, I just said fuck it and gave up.

Yea, I did not do the island scavenging bullshit. That's just tedious. I loved/hated the shanty collection b/c I enjoyed the music and was occasionally very frustrated gathering them. I don't bother with 100% memory synch either, but I did gold all the settlements.

After being burned by AC3, I decided to hold of on getting Black Flag until this weekend. I've been completely blown away by how good it is. By far the best entry to the series and honestly one of the best games I have played in a long a while.

Burned by AC 3? I thought it was the best of the series. Connor was an interesting protagonist and the change of scenery was nice.

Another issue I have with AC Black Flag is that the optional objective prompts aren't consistent. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but they'll either be displayed briefly in the right-hand corner, in the pause menu, or not at all. There have been several instances where the optional objectives weren't revealed until the end of the mission.

I think you'll find you are fairly alone in rating AC3 good and conner interesting.

for those playing on PC and crashing, try turning shadow to normal. I was crashing a lot the last time I tried playing, like every few minutes in the regular campaign (nvidia, latest drivers). Reading around a bit I turned shadows to normal and its been flawless since, didn't have to turn down any other graphic settings (everything on max, AA set to msaa 8x). Unfortunately sweetFX doesn't work with win8.1, but if you are running Win7 you can get sweetFX profiles that people have tweaked to make things even better.

On Opt Objectives: They only show them during relevant parts. No bug. And once completed and past a checkpoint so they're saved they don't display anymore.

They trim them out when not relevant.

I just started doing the Templar hunt missions and was wondering about the relationship between pirates and the Assassin Order. Was piracy just a job that many assassins took on? There's Rhona, James Kidd (formerly Mary Read), etc. Also, who was Duncan sent to kill on Edward's ship at the beginning of the game? I must have missed that part.

It's always on the paused screen but yeah, it doesn't always show up when you start a mission, or is so small it's not noticeable. I've missed a lot of objectives from this but I don't really care anyway.

Duncan wasn't there to carry out a hit. I believe Duncan was on his way to do his turncoat business and Edward's ship was engaging in pirate acts with Duncan's. I might be remembering incorrectly though.

I went back 4 or 5 pages but couldn't find it, didn't someone here who is playing this on PC state that they totally stopped their crashing problem by changing something in the graphics settings, something with the shadows I vaguely remember? Just upgraded my vid card yesterday and now I'm crashing like once an hour. BSOD and right back to desktop every so often. Didn't have any problems previously, even tried a couple different Nvidia driver versions and same thing regardless.

And I'm pretty sure it's just AC4, I played Path of Exile for a couple hours and ran several benchmarks with no issues at all.
