80% of box offices are done in the first 17 days (3 weekends, 2 weeks). Hellboy opens 2 weeks before, Detective Pikachu 2 weeks after, and John Wick 3 for the third week after. So the trajectory of the gross should be the same it's simply how much more over IW's numbers does it go. 2.2 billion to surpass Titanic at #2 All Time is definitely a possibility.

So I reached the first Captain America on Friday, and I'm watching the first Avengers right now. I love the movie, but it's aged in terms of some effects and scenery. Modern Marvel movies look like works of art at every step. It's been touched up for colors that pop more, for example. This is different. The scenery is almost bland at parts.
Anyway, the point of this post. When Loki and the Chitauri boss are talking, they keep making reference to "him". They must have planned on Thanos from the get-go.
