It's already been discussed, Batman's Kryptonite is street level thugs. He can go toe to toe with cosmic entities, but the Joker gives him problems. Now what?

At least Batman's never been beaten by a squirrel.

How dare you? They're extremely consistent and aren't completely at the whim of whoever happens to be writing them that day.

Plus, people going back and forth comic scans are also just like your fantasy football league in that everyone is on the edge of their seat the whole time and nobody scrolls past it while rolling their eyes. Keep it up, it's totally awesome.

Superman is a boring charismaless invincible. At least the Hulk is tolerable and fucking wrecks everything in his path. Batman is like Captain America with a dark side and often feels like the underdog. That's why those are fun to root for. Superman is going to win every fight so why even bother.

Superman pretty much just starts out at ridiculous level that I don't think has been pushed to it's ultimate limits. He's always holding back as well.

Hulk starts out at a baseline strength ( determined by the writer) and grows infinitely in strength, and size the more damage he takes.

So here's the problem, Hulk does get knocked out a lot. So how is that possible? Well comics haha

The only difference here is Superman is boring and Hulk isn't.

Batman on the other hand tells the heartwarming story that if you are handsome enough, rich enough, and doggone smart enough...you can win against anyone.

The theory for years is that Bruce is actually a meta human, DC just hasn't played that card yet, and they should never do that imo.

I mean yeah it would be a mistake, but god damn it would make a whole lot more sense than a normal, unmodified human being able to fight New Gods in hand to hand combat just because he trained a lot.

There was awhile back when they were saying his powers were magic based, and also that he was the Spirit of Gotham. They do that stuff, and then they backpedal fast.

Superman has done so many insane things in his time that being potrayed as "boring" is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Writers just cant think of cool enough shit to go crazy with it. Modern Comics /Movies are so ashamed of things like the Legion in Lieu of the Teen Titans . Superman should be fighting crazy ass space Gods and Old Horrors as well as busting shitty business people and saving depressed children from ledges. Dude is an inspiration, not an emo fuck. Square Peg in a round hole. How the fuck can you make an Icon of Humanity be part of "gritty reboot" after "gritty reboot". Superman is not a 'gritty' character. Have we become that ashamed of our culture that we have to shy away from the best parts of humanity to sell movie tickets? Batman is more malleable to these sort of movies. He has BEEN everything from comic relief fuck to gritty avenger, so he can BE anything. Superman is not terrible, peoples obsession with grimdark pain is terrible.


How about we just make 12 movies out of All Star Superman and call it a day? You could get 12 Movies out of All Star Superman and the world would be happy.
