I dont remember the AI being able to fly at all. Or very well. I DO remember them being so poorly programmed that if you targeted them, they instantly turned and shot you. I always hated lan parties that turned on bots, because it made it a worse experience. -- We'd have 200 people at the lan parties and yet bots got enabled... WHY.

I barely played on any server with bots, but the ones I did they were usually dumb as rocks that couldn't hit the side of a barn or they would drive into trees and shit. Only good thing is you could do "requesting pickup" and they would listen, then you could kill them and take the vehicle if TK punish was off.

Hope they can institute one of those tower maps where the tower can actually crumble. That always gave me the biggest laughs. Love those destructible maps with actual degradation.

I find it funny people are shitting on the player count saying it'll be chaos, if they can match Squad's maps size they should be fine. They're pushing 100 players and it's a hell of a good time.

1942 had some great griefing. Favorite thing of mine to do was load up a half track full of dudes then drive into an AA gun. It would cause the aa gun to bounce all over the place inside the aa gun so anyone who got out was likely killed and if they didnt they would eventually be flung across the map as the half track would be thrown from the aa gun as if it was a catapult.
Ironically thats what happened with BF2. Early in development it was a 128 player games. Quite a few screenshots showing the squad system setup for it and a few of the maps where designed with that in mind which is why they ended up being so damn barren like Fushe Pass. Will be interesting to see if they pull it off in more than just a BR mode.

They haven't pushed tech since BF3 in the series. I remember how jaw dropping it was seeing the size of those maps and graphics. If PS2, COD and others are able to pull off that player count and map size they absolutely should be able to do it.
I just hope they use the spotting system from BF5, that was a great change that needs to stay with the series. Nothing more infuriating than getting a great flank on a team and not being able to do shit because they see you on the mini-map.

- The setting is very similar to how the Call of Duty franchise released Black Ops 2 in 2012, with the game being set in 2025 (so 10-15 years from its release date). So yes, expect military robots (Boston Dynamics?), drones, jets, helicopters, tanks and that sort of thing.
- In BATTLEFIELD, there isn’t necessarily “Axis and Allies” as you will be able to chose your own path. Both the USA and Russia, who are the games only standing superpowers, will offer to “recruit” your specialist team and their skills throughout the campaign, which will be a valuable asset to both sides. It would also appear like this year’s campaign is a co-op experience.
- Multiplayer will feature bigger and better battles and is described as “Battlefield ¾ on steroids”, with a Battle Royale also on the way at some stage.
sounds cool, might be the thing to finally get me to upgrade my gaming PC since battlefield is a lot more fun on PC. but i'm hesitant because this is DICE and they royally fucked up battlefield 5 and battlefield 1.

CCP gets salty over “China as enemy” themes, so presumably EA is just avoiding it to avoid retribution vs all their games/this title. Apparently BF4 got banned in China

Cheaters don't bug me at all in BF because all I do is try to do a full lap in a jeep, fly under bridges in helicopters, or fly jets into pedestrians. I hardly ever PTFO.
Honestly one of the only times I remember actually trying to win in BF4 was playing with you and someone else one night on the dam map. I've played BF4 more than any other video game except maybe Wow, and I still haven't beat the campaign or unlocked everything in multi-player. I just like flying and rallying around.
