I literally said I'd rather have my gun down and not usable than shoot fake bullets. I think it's fine if your gun is unusable after proning/standing up/jumping out of a vehicle.

I'm very familiar with how firearms work. If you can point-fire 10 rounds at a guy 3 feet in front of you and miss every shot I'll eat your fucking shorts, dude. MOA is measured for 100yds in INCHES, so when you're missing people at 25-50m by several feet?

It's a bad way to make bad players feel better and good players feel worse.
Again, the values have to be switched in this game since most encounters happen at that magic 10-30 meter range. Only snipers work from 100 meters+ in games like these. If they held that 2MOA at 100 meters in this game, then every shot from every gun would just hit 99%. And it would be COD all over again. From memory having played most of the older BF games from BF3,BF4 and BF5, BF 2042, they all had this bloom mechanic to some extent. Its not like this is something new they added just to this game. That 10-50 meter range is just the sweet spot where most encounters happen so of course the bloom has to happen in that range, or else why even have it?

guns are all over the shop except imo the kv9 even with 17rounds. its just ridiculously accurate and quick death.
I remember playing with the stock M41A in the range and it was fine, but after attachments it just shots off way upper right. and stripping off add ons still crap, I wonder if its some kind of bug

All guns should have a balanced TTK regardless of RPM. There is a problem when anything other than a 600+RPM gun is basically unusable because you will be beaten in 90% of the battles. In past BF games they balanced this through ridiculous, almost uncontrollable recoil on those extreme ROF guns like AEK and the Vector. Im sure they will get around to nerfing the shit out of those high ROF guns in this game as well like they did in all the other BF games.

I understand Xevy Xevy 's point and largely agree. The current bloom implementation feels rough. Even if it contributes to overall balance, it undermines the player experience. I don't mind mechanics that briefly reduce weapon control after a slide, jump, or prone transition, but the execution right now just isn't enjoyable. It's a tough balance to strike between fairness and fluidity, and at the moment, it leans too far toward frustration.

Duo just randomly sticks you with someone.

Not sure I like the new map, will see. Its pretty open, sniper heaven, fires/sunset right in your eyes.

Oh I know it'll just stick you with a random, but I don't want to put up with a random or have them put up with me. I'm bad enough. lol

The game should have released with solo, duo, and trips.

I agree its dumb. I just join and then run off on my own if I want.

Crazy they let you get a tank in there. Wonder if aircraft are too, I would assume so since I saw a shoulder mounted AA missle in one crate.

Pretty fun so far, but I havent played a BR since PUBG. So its interesting.

The BR is funish, despite some issues. The exp for guns is even worse though because you are not farming 20+ kills. The exp is slower too in that regard, though maybe its higher if you win.

The no solo queue though makes it a pita, teammates just leave, no communications, random quitting etc.

Also it seems everyone just follows the fire circle in.

Some of map is buggy, at least for me. Like the houses half sunk in the ground, I fall through the floor if I try to open a door, or sometimes cant even open the door. Hitting it with melee falls through too.

Maybe it was the new map today, but I'm just not having fun anymore. Game feels like a chore.

Its getting to that point. I have a few unlocks I want to get on new gun, so I have them when I want to play a match or two later on, when I feel like shooting or blowing something up. Then probably done. After that try new maps that slowly come out a few times or DLC. About my usual for FPS games.

This is WarZone 1.5. And I mean that in a good way. It feels VERY much like peak Warzone with some minor updates. They even have some of the retarded bugs/lack of QoL from early Warzone they'll probably fix pretty quick.

It's a near 1:1 copy, but honestly that's perfectly fine. Warzone 1.0 was one of the best BRs to date.

haven't tried battle royal, and not overly interested in it, but the Gauntlet mode seems cool. more focus on obj play.
Royale is weird, can't even look at half the items before you auto pickup. Hate having tanks show up. Low xp but seemed decent for unlocking gun parts using guns that are already modded rather than suffer thru base gun.

I like gauntlet a lot but you need a good team of course, both games I had leavers and yards just trying to snipe rather than do objective

Anyone that bought this after seeing what the did to BF:V and 2042 deserve what they get. I knew something was wrong when they didn't do another open beta weekend showing the players that everything had been fixed. Now it looks like a Cosmetic store first and the game is just an afterthought.

BF:V - The game was in a great spot after the fixed some of the visibility issues. Then decided to change the TTK (No one was asking for this) making 90% of the weapons pure garbage that could not compete with the other 10%. Everyone bitched and they reverted the patch. THEN, after a few weeks or months (Can't remember) they re-added that patch and announced the game was at the end of it's life cycle a week or two later, leaving the game in a very poor state. This one really sucked because it had some amazing maps and gameplay mechanics (Taking ammo off supply players, small amounts of dropped ammo off each kill, ammo boxes on the caps, the motherfucking Flieger!, etc).

2042 - A "love letter" to Battlefield fans. Introduced Heroes, shitty mechanics, CoF Bloom, lobbies that take you back to the main screen for up to 10 mins between matches when you were just in a full server, worst maps in the BF series by a long shot and balance issues out the ass. None of this got fixed. Not to mention the Portal experience being exactly the same as it was a few weeks ago in BF6. Just nothing but bot xp farms and not a single fun game mode to be found due to these taking up all the slots.

It really is sad to see what happened to this franchise.
