The first misstep of newmisc was not listening, and fuck me we weren't quiet about it either. Thought he knew better. Even the mods on this forum told him that they tried the some of the things he was trying and found out it doesn't work, and he still didn't listen.
Still remember the line "I'll happily lose 1000 miscers rather than ban wincel". Then he cried that lots of good people either didn't join or left soon after joining.
Said he would 100% not allow alts then made an alt utopia. The said he was going to stop the alts and allowed, even encouraged them to continue many different times, fuck he even said one of the worst offenders was his favourite poster FFS.
I could go on and on, but I want to forget about that faggot, guy was a fucking dick and I wish him the worst srs. Negged the cunt on OB lmao.

What do you expect? The forum is way too obscure to attract brand new members. Probably on page 20 of a Google search result for 'bodybuilding forum'. All the usual suspects from newmisc with multiple troll accounts are the NEET types who will flock there to continue endlessly shitposting all day and calling eachother out. With one mod way over his head trying to keep it under control you can see where it's going.

I have some hope that if the incessant trolls/alts were permanently banned (i.e. if the forum was well moderated), there's a chance at revival. I'm going to give OB a chance.
It didn't work for newmisc because the owner had a naive and inexperienced view of "absolute free speech", which simply doesn't work on an internet forum due to spam. bb.com also failed at this, since they couldn't IP ban correctly. Look at how efficiently this forum kicks the trolls/weirdos out of the main forum, while preserving free speech. It is possible.

Not 100% but it might as well be now. No one besides newmisc admin knows what’s going on. no one knows the OB admin yet. Probably better that way since lockdev likely pulled the plug over potentially getting doxxed.
