Best Sports Game of All Time

NBA Jam T.E. or Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball for me. I played a ton of both.

For Baseball Games, I was a huge fan of Baseball Stars for Nintendo. I think that was one of the earliest games that you could make your own players. John Olerud was pretty sick in that game too for the Blue Jays.

As mentioned, NHL 94 and 95 were amazing. I remember my brother and I started a Best of 99 series one weekend in NHL 94.

There was also some great wrestling game for N64 that my friends and I would play Battle Royale. It was great cause even if you got eliminated, you'd hang out outside the ring and you could sweep the legs of people still fighting, drag them out and beat the shit out of them until they crawled back under the ropes.

I put some serious time into this when I first got a Genesis if for no other reason due to the graphic upgrade coming from an NES back in 89.

Man I haven’t thought about some of these games in decades. I put way too many hours into nes open. Also played the heck out of ncaa basketball for some reason. All I remember is being some dude from Duke with like a 48% 3 point skill. The game would count that percentage anywhere over the half court line so I’d just throw up these half court shots the entire game and hit them.

We played a ton of NES Open. Couldn't you save your best shots too as replays?

edit: that's a lie, I had NBA Jam as well. for regular basketball though this is the only one I owned.
