Last night's episode of showing the "common man" that Axe is indeed a chaotic neural protagonist. Granted he didn't officially do anything wrong with his closing actions, but he wouldn't be in that boat in the first place if he didn't get some insider trading type information.

I still prefer Axe to Chuck, but this episode makes it a tougher decision.

The end showed that Lara is the killer maker. Same as Wendy as according to Chuck's dad.

I think it's more that Axe has a power play in mind and calling in the city's loans fits into it somehow moreso than he just wants to say screw the little people.

My guess is he's going to leverage the "my city is in turmoil and in danger of becoming crime central" to get the casino license back from Jack Foley, or use it to squeeze money out of neighboring municipalities or soemthing like that. He's not throwing them to the wolves without a clear goal in mind.

He is just going to liquidate the assets and make the 100 million that he mentioned. Doubt there is anything else.

Pretty much. Ax doesn't get to be the hero in anything. He's a top of the heap asshole whose success comes from illegal insider training.

Chuck may also be an asshole but boy has he had to suffer for trying to catch some guys making a killing. Especially now that Ax just fucked over a smaller town.

They're setting up Chuck to go after his father.

ehhhh not sure if I like that. Ax hasn't had anything big to really deal with or threaten him this entire season other than some shitty deals that hurt is quarterly performance.

I just think that Casino back room deal is either the lever that gets Axe out of his next bind with Chuck, or is the pivot for next season where Chuck go after his dad in his righteous zeal.

That's boring. Ax is the actual criminal here. Letting him skate for season(s) sucks.

There are no good people on this show except maybe Bryan.

Even though he's an idiot, I really hope there is more of Lawrence Boyd in the show which is highly unlikely since hes in jail. For whatever reason all of his scenes this season have been my favorite, It's probably because its one of the only stories that is more grounded. I havent cared for the Wags addiction or Axe's new go to employee much, Malins character just got better this last episode though

I liked Axe's tear down of Chuck. It was good. But Chuck was right, it's Axe being thrown off balance. This is bad.

I liked the new Billions a lot. Looks like Axe is taking the first steps to returning to his old self. It may blow up in his face, though. Especially with Chuck being so hot on his tail.

Not to mention that Laura is PISSED. Wendy did a number on her.

I wonder if Taylor will crumble under the pressure. Worse yet, I had no idea it's a fucking girl. I swore that was just a very effeminate guy.

Pretty good season but it's pretty fucking annoying that they paint chuck as a master strategist (and he mostly is) but he sometimes misses/does the dumbest shit. Needing blackjack to tell him that this fucking casino shit is going to all go back on his father and him? Just blatantly obvious and something his character would have thought of instantly. Going in on this drink company? Axe is going to bury that shit and sink him and his father at the same time.

It's a good show but sometimes the sloppy character writing on chucks side is just bad, really bad.
