Yes another network/streaming could pick it up, but they will probably not bother if the writing is crap. Joss Whedon was the reason the shows existed. Without his humor brand on it, it pretty much fails.

Firefly is in the exact same boat but at least that will most likely be animation. If not, Joss Whedon better be behind the scenes helping with the writing or it faces the same problem.

I'll still re-watch it from time to time. Disappointed we never got more from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
