can you tell the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps?

I noticed it in the cutscenes for Last of Us when I played the PS4 version, compared to PS3

8/11 on a 1920x1080 monitor at 60hz.

9/11 1920x1080 60mhz. (Got arma wrong, and the bike game...)

As Soygen said, looking and controlling are very different. Just looking, all you'll notice is the movement to different view directions seems slower; but that translates to it being smoother feel when you actually control said camera.

10/11 on a shitty old 1080p 60Hz. I managed to talk myself out of the helicopter one by looking at the blades.

I'm both old and wear pretty strong glasses, so I'm shocked to be honest.

11/11 on my 1600x900 or whatever laptop at 60Hz. It was really easy to tell so either I have god mode eyes or my dick is huge

lol, that's exactly what happened to me.

YEah i can tell the difference pretty easily. One is what you see when you play on an Xbox, the other is what you see when you play on a Playstation.

How is anyone not getting 11/11 on this? The difference is night and day.

It's a subtle difference, but yeah. You can tell. Your brain notices even if you aren't constantly aware of it.

Still, it's not something to be supernerd about. There's a lot of difference between speaker setups and different types/brands of headphone too but the truth is unless you're working in sound design it's not enough to concern yourself with.

For some reason I got the tan palettes wrong. That probably says more about my eyes than anything.

Missed the ninja turtles, and one earlier one.
Portal was instantly. that was super obvious to me.

9/11, and only because I spent a 1/3rd a second on the two I missed and didn't catch the visual cue. In over half of the videos, the moment the game changes perspective more than a millimeter it is obvious.

11/11 it is instantly obvious on almost all of the videos. Surprised me actually, I didn't think I would see such a huge difference.

10/11 on 2560X1600 @60

I guess I'm old, too. Some of them were fairly visible. Others I had a hard time telling the difference. We should do an age check on this, too..
