The initial paragraph was kinda stupidly written as it sounded like she was a teacher in San Antonio after being run out of Missouri. But really she was just hiding out there.
Kid was 16 and his dad knew about it and approved. So instead of this being dropped like it should be, they're charging the dad too. I guess Missouri aint one of the states that has a clause for parental consent.

If you read the article she was initially facing an even more severe "fucking across state lines" charge that has a minimum 20 year sentence but that was presumably dropped as part of the plea bargain.
