So what was the snes era like for people?!
SNES and Sega Genesis, before biggy rapped about it I was living it.
Many games back then we didn’t demos but we could find them early in public arcades. And followed their development via gaming magazines. Until they launched in store. Malls, toys r us, Walmart. Blockbuster

That’s pretty much every map other than optional ones later on isn’t it? There were either lamps, or brightly glowing shit.

Either way the maps were all like that one posted, just one long corridor with hidden short dead ends or loops. I thought their maps were great. Easy to follow and go right to the end but full of hidden little areas that were worth exploring. It was in stark contrast to FF16 that only had one piece of loot worth finding off the main path in the entire game.

This doesn't seem like a map that you can really get lost in. The world map you can get a bit lost in, or at least not know where something is you are looking for.

yeah. I don't remember any maps being all that complex and getting "lost". what I think I do remember is the "which is the correct path? go forward 50ft. oh, wait I think this is the way forward, so I better go check the other path for loot. go the other way. oh, wait. no This is the correct path. I better go back to the first path, and get the loot. " over and over.
So paths were quite linear. but, telling which is the main path and which is the side path for loot was hard to tell. and kept having to backtrack over and over.

I did try to get into this game. Oh well. If I had seen those maps Hateyou Hateyou had linked BEFORE I uninstalled , I may have kept playing. I've also literally had my head cut open and my memory is shit.
I'm also old enough that I want to play a game to relax, not wander around lost. If that triggers you, that is 100% your problem.

Patch dungeon boss:

I just spent literally all fucking day banging my head against Osquio and finally hit what I thought would be a killing blow on him...only to find there's a phase two. Fuck me, god. He has so much fucking health.
