At least the Clerks movies have been Smiths best movies. This seems more like an actual end to the universe finally.

This looks awful. I was a big Smith fan for a long time. But his last few movies have been so awful. This one is just literal references to his whole life and jokes made about him.

Clerks 2 was the last really good Kevin Smith movie. Zach and Miri make a porno was the last decent one.

Early 20s me borderline loved Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, more because it was taking shots at other movies - the Good Will Hunting 2 scene is probably the best thing Smith has done in his career, and that is utterly not witty or dry.

I literally forgot Jay and Silent Bob Reboot existed, much less that I had seen it, since it was that bad. Smith doesn't even have any of his own nostalgia left to mine, and if the high point is meta-commentary about Clerks' absurdly bad alternate ending, this is going to be a rough time.

Kevin Smith got luck once and has been riding that gravy train of free cash ever since. Just like Adam Sandler and shit I don't blame him at all. If any of you guys were offered a metric shit ton of cash to make a garbage dogshit movie you would do it in an instant.

the Clerks/Jay & Silent Bob stuff had a good run, but it ended 15 years ago. 15 years ago when you could still have edgy comedy. Clerks 2 could never be made today. Clerks 3 will be a pale imitation of this dead franchise.
