It needs to go to 8 and there needs to be no preseason rankings to be used for SoS arguments. SEC teams getting credit for beating 6th ranked preseason Auburn? Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.....7th ranked Oregon..........okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy

Shit is so flawed as it stands, media bias still permeates the system. Use your SoS arguments on the current teams records not August.

If that was the case, no fucking way Bama is ahead of Florida...who not only lost to LSU as its only loss, but buttraped Ole Miss who Bama lost to. The committee uses some eye test and coaching eye test shit.....can you fellate Saban any more??? Fuck.

College football is the king of circular reasoning. Why is Clemson #1? They beat the #5 team in the country. Why is ND #5? Cause they lost to the #1 team in the country. Take that one game away from BOTH teams, and they have a Baylor-type schedule up to this point. (And the first person to bring up Temple, gets -50DKP)

You can take half the games off ND and Clemson's schedule and they would still be more impressive than Baylor's. Baylor's is backloaded and they purposely scheduled complete jokes in OOC. Baylor paying for their stupidity right now. Doesn't matter though, somebody will beat them and they will fall out of it completely with one loss.

Make it 8 team playoff and there would just as much bitching about the 8th and 9th spots on the list.

There will be a shake up at the top just based on who has each other to play. LSU/Bama and they will likely play Florida.

I predict Bama will make the final 4 and be the only SEC team to do so.

I'm suprised LSU is as high as they are considering they still have 3 games left against teams in the top 15 strength of schedule (Ole Piss, Alabama, and A&M), all in the top 25 which will help LSUs strength of schedule which isn't great at the moment.

Some major conference games on tonight

#6 Baylor @ Kstate
#20 Miss St @ Missouri

I fully expect Baylor to score more points in the first half of their game than Misst St and Missouri score total, combined, in their game

I'll take Baylor 45-21 over Kstate
Miss St 13-3 over Missouri(we haven't scored a TD in a month, our offense is putrid, but our D might be the 2nd best in the SEC behind Alabama...and maybe better than Alabama)

It's hard to explain how frustrating it is to have a championship calibur offense, and putrid defense (Chase Daniel years) to now come full circle and have a championship calibur defense and putrid offense. We've officially made the transition from the B12 to the SEC, we've gone from playing track meets, to being ready for constant field goal/field position battle games... Our defense has held 4 of our 5 SEC opponents to their lowest point total of the year, if our offense was even mediocre we should have a great record right now.

Shout out to Kentrell Brothers, who might be the best linebacker in the SEC. Goddamn he's a beast. 96 tackles in 7 games at inside linebacker to lead the SEC thus far. Dude doesn't get sacks, or many TFL/Sacks like OLBs do, but he's just an insane tackling machine. Should end up as a 1st or 2nd round pick inthe draft. He's just absolutely everywhere. Remind me a lot of Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson coming out of Texas about a decade ago.
This guy deserves a lot more recognition than what he's getting. No one is going to see him play this year, since our team is so bad. But in the first 20 minutes of play tonight he has 7 tackes, a forced fumble, and a blocked punt. Just a machine. Also still leading the nation in tackles by about 20, even after having a bye week last week

Brothers is a Senior. Early in the year he was projected as a ~3rd round draft pick. Has to be working his way up the board as the season goes on.

If KSU had a pulse on offense they would have won tonight. Pretty good game really, thought frosh qb looked good too

You talking about their QB?

The freshman replacement looked damn good last night, threw for 66% completion, 400 yards, 3TD, no INT

Kid was the #2 dual-threat QB in the nation coming out of highschool last year. He might struggle a little more against some tougher teams down the road, but you couldn't ask for much more out of a backup QB than what he did last night. He didn't look like a Freshman at all

Yea thats like 3 tds less that they normally put up through the air. If Baylor's offense isnt constantly churning out points someone is taking them out.

True. Thursday night games are always weird as hell though, it's hard to take anything away from them. I always hate playing a Thursday night game as the favorite, but love it as the underdog.

Any one of Baylor's next 3 opponents had the capability of beating them before Russell got hurt. Now, it's almost a certainty that at least one of them will. Survive and advance would be a perfectly acceptable outcome given the 3 game stretch Baylor is about to go on.

That being said, feels good to have the best true freshman QB in the country. I had Heard freshman qb's were supposed to suck.
