It's moral "faggotry" because you are taking some hilarious stance thinking that 99% of the other universities wouldn't do the same exact thing. Any posturing Tech is doing is exactly what any other school would do - it's recruitment posturing etc. Tech is telling everyone to suck their nuts, pretty publicly.
This idea that Tech doing anything to win is exclusive to them, as a university, is naive beyond belief. Tell me about how morally upstanding OU is - please.
https://www.espn.com/college-footba...ahoma-john-mateer-denies-gambling-involvement - Oh what do we have here? This guy 100% must be telling the truth!
No one is arguing that betting should be allowed, or that it's sustainable for the sport - or for any sport for that matter. As Kaines pointed out, the argument is that this was always going to happen. The NCAA and the lack of any authority they have is the issue.
You mean the AG is defending Texas-based institutions against external threats? He's doing his job? Great.
To finalize collective bargaining this would presume that the SEC and B1G would operate in any sort of good faith, which will never happen. These schools have one worry - "How much money can we make? Fuck everyone else."
Also, why would the players have any incentive to collectively bargain? They're winning it all right now. It will take an act of Congress. Which is what the boogeyman is proposing, but since he didn't go to my alma mater and has lots of money I have to cry about it - despite him funding the majority of my Conservative politicians and initiatives. God forbid we try to get a solution to this mess in college sports! The Campbell hatred is some Kamala Harris-voter shit - be ashamed of yourselves!
A good post summarizing why an injunction, in any scenario relating to the NCAA, should've not been surprising due to not abiding to the Sherman Antitrust Act.
Random shit:
- Judge Ken Curry graduated through the UT university system and then law school at Houston (UT and Houston lawyers actually made up part of the NCAA's defense).
- Jeffrey Kessler (Jewish super lawyer responsible for NCAA vs. Alston) & Texas Speaker of the House Dustin Burrows represented Sorsby.

Sorsby made two specific bets against Indiana; but he was not an active player for either. So, this isn't a point shaving/organized crime scandal.
