I am with jayrebb jayrebb on this one. I have a YouTube premium account I have been paying for a very long time. My algo is pretty damn well curated. It takes a long time to get a handle on what you want. My feed is consistent finance, tech, sailing / yacht charter, ancient history, and some miscellaneous stuff that pops up from the same creators I actually watch, but have not necessarily subscribed to. On the desktop webpage version, I also occasionally prune by clicking "Not Interested" in the rare junk it feeds me. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my YouTube feed.

FWIW, I do not see AI slop fed to me at all on YT. Insta & X however... complete shit shows, no matter how much I try and curate the algo.

Because fuck ads, thats why. A few consult site's I do time on have locked down networks, but I can still watch my ad-free YT content.

Worth every penny.

They've got you so well trained you repeat their propaganda for them. Not only is it less expensive to use AD block, it's less time consuming.

99% of companies haven't fought against AD blockers for the past decade.

When you serve ADs to the type of people that use AD block, those people do everything they can to avoid actually watching them, which devalues the return on investment the people paying for the ADs get since your serving them to people that are ultimately not really watching them, which devalues the value of AD space. Because of this companies that aren't run by retards don't do anything to stop AD blockers.
