A reddit mod getting sued for "promoting THJ" would be completely irrelevant to a current subreddit. It would be about specific posts that have already happened in the past, since there's nothing to even promote anymore. If they're doing it to try and hide offending posts so DBG can't find them, then that's not going to work either and would be spoliation of evidence which would fuck them harder than whatever they're hiding in the first place. It's also extremely unlikely they would have even gone after them in the first place, but looking like you have shit to hide might make DBG think it could be worth their time.
DBG also can't come in and take over a discussion forum, even if its about their product. They have zero legal grounds to do that, and according to his post it doesn't even seem like they're trying. Dude's just a giant pussy throwing a temper tantrum and trying to make people hate DBG even more, which only works on complete and total retards like

I think they would only be really pressing the advert stuff if THJ were spending millions of dollars on it. I think DBG is trying to figure out more how much money they made with there IP vs What EQ pulled during the run time of the server.
If they really want to press this further, they could take it to the FTC but I'm sure the amount is so fucking small, that the FTC wouldn't really give a fuck.
If they are trying to do this they need to realize, reddit/discord keep copies of everything for months. The only way they are getting rid of them is if they have a friend who works in the reddit/discord DCs. Even then sense it is part of a "on-going" case if any major changes were to occur on the back-up DB, tons and tons of questions would have to be answered, then said person would be fired, and probably blacklisted.

From reading that last court filing it does seem that daybreak is arguing that the defendants are in fact violating the emergency injunction.
Which defendants? Not the two THJ devs, no. random shit posters on reddit are violating the injunction by continuing to discuss thj and seeking means of restarting thj in Russia or another country that doesn't care about the injunction.
I think anyone who reads or contributes to reddit are fucking faggots who should be shot in the dick but it does look like dbg is going after reddit posters (or at least arguing that they are violating the injunction, thus they are the unnamed John Does in the suit) and it was prudent to shut down the subreddit.

Anything against Reddit / social media users would have to be a fresh lawsuit. They’re just trying to show ongoing harm by linking comments. It has nothing to do with social media users “violating the injunction.”
There is no legal basis for unbound third parties to be included in any violation. You cannot name John Does then later encompass random social media users as those John Does - that’s not how that works.
