I'm confused. Are there no other directors in Hollywood? Why do they have to keep bringing back old ones? Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed Man of Steel, but there were parts of it that I'd have done differently for sure.

Both Snyder and Gunn are those guys that all their movies end up feeling the same. Break away from that, find someone else. It can't get much worse, right?

In a perfect world, they would find a place like FoH and hire us all for minimum scale, have us sign NDAs, and then let us hash it out, tossing out the outliers that just want to troll. Except they'd end up doing it with a shithole like Reddit or Resetera or something, and it would have all the major heroes as black trannies.

Lucas Film used all new directors for half their movies and we know how that turned out. Big studios need Ron Howard's, not Lord and Miller's or Treverrow's or Gareth Edwards.

almost certainly snyder fans lying out their ass, Snyder has a miserable track record the last few years - the Rebel moon shit especially. Gunn is more MCU-lite baby food, but at least his movies are making money and actors/Hollywood likes him.

Netflix and Paramount are the two top contenders to buy WB, Netflix already essentially has turned their back on Snyder (cancelling more Rebel moons, cancelling his animated stuff) so the rumor literally makes no sense at all. Paramount doesn't really have any stake in Snyder, the Saudi's are bankrolling them but why would they give a single fuck about Snyderverse. There is no Jihadi Superman.

There is zero evidence any corp has any interest in Snyder at the moment, and note that Netflix has exclusive rights to a final agreement to buy WB (Netflix has to pay WB $5 Billion even if the deal falls through) - considering that Rebel Moon and everything else Snyder appears to be dead at Netflix, there is less than zero indication the return of the Snyderverse is nigh.

don't think netflix will care enough to get rid of gunn. with china seemingly spending on American movies again, supergirl has a chance to put up biggest numbers than superman. sure even clayface will get a lot of eyes streaming.

The WB buyout is also a regulatory mess - all the players have their own services (Netflix, Paramount+, etc.), so whoever 'wins' still has to fight the US government as size of the new combined entity will be sizable.

(Between Amazon, Paramount with Daddy Oracle's money, Netflix, etc., tech(bros) own the world, we just rent in it.)
