sure. it is that classic issue of context. stripe tease. bad. women in lingerie in their bedroom or changing room. bad. women in bathingsuits which cover the exact same amount at the beach? no problem.

I think most people watch movies with their gf/wife/significant other. More "adult" movies get put on when the kiddies goes to sleep.

When a nice set of jigglies or a gratuitous sex scene is on screen that's when the petting/rubbing/oral starts and then you skip the next 15-20 minutes of the movie.

No one is watching softcore with their mom and pops. This is strictly Netflix n chill vibes.

If a movie is promoted as softcore porn you wouldn't watch it with your parents or in laws or kids. Obviously.

But what we're discussing is when a movie is promoted as adventure or action or whatever. And then you're sitting there watching it with your parents or in laws or kids, because thats what normal people do with an adventure or action movie.

Then the sex scene starts. Normal people in that scenario are going "well shit I kinda wish I wasnt watching this scene with my inlaws and kid", not "gee I wish there was MORE tits and ass!"

These movies were all direct to video and only played on late-night premium channels after 11PM. Aka skin-e-max. No one was ever confused by them.

Now in streaming land there may be some confusion but games of thrones and spartacus have brought mild porn into prime time anyway.

Most, if not all, of the people who think sex and nudity in movies and video games is unnecessary have spouses and children.

I am not watching deathstalker with my son (yet lol)

We curate what they read and watch, heck I banned props pig because she is a horrible thing for kids to emulate and that is what kids do with kid shows (my 14yr old yesterday said, dad- i watched props pig… I see why you banned it, she is a brat)

Wife and I are both early mellinials so the echo of the 80s while growing up proper in the 90s is a unique thing as we have our kids

I knew I was Straight from a very young age. Appalonia in Purple Rain was awesome, Dolly Parton simultaneously let me down and still didn’t disappoint in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

The difference is that no-one was forcing sex, ideologies, etc. on us. We snuck a peek when we could because hormones. And whether people are willing to admit it or not, some titties now and then can make a movie more fun to watch, even for a grown ass man. That’s just a fact.
