Sounds like you're full of shit. Who could've known fibers could help with chronic constipation. Any GP, ever, mebbe?
This guy thinks washing your hands with soap kills all the germs, so... maybe cut him some slack, he's still discovering fiber.

FWIW, I’ve been depressed long before I ever got put on birth control (depressed since I was 9, didn’t get on BC until I was 28) and even if I wasn’t on it, my life’s still a bag of shit and I’d probably feel the same way. I also sometimes feel like chicks get put in a no-win situation on this forum regarding it. What should we do in a long-term relationship where kids aren’t wanted? Guys here bitch about the risks of getting snipped and that’s totally fair, especially given the shitty experiences some went through and the garbage indifference of the doctors regarding that. Don’t blame them at all. But get bitched at about BC pills because it destroys women’s brains and turns the frogs gay from the water. And the condoms are uncomfortable and suck and aren’t as fun. And then if you just don’t fuck you’re a bad wife and the guy deserves to go out and get it somewhere else. Fuck are we supposed to do then?

As for the pooping, I’ve been taking Metamucil every day. I didn’t see constipation listed as a possible side effect for the BC I’m on, either. Also, goddamn I’ve had 5 different fucking PCPs in the last two years because they keep quitting and each new one I get put with is worse than the last. And the wait list for others I’ve tried to get with is almost a fucking year just for an establishing care appointment. It’s fucking ridiculous. If I could, I’d just use my hematologist for everything because that dude is always thorough as fuck. I’ve brought up just completely unrelated things to him that I got BS from my PCP on, and his shit just fucking solves it. Man is a damn saint.
I can tell you what I did since my wife refused to take hormonal BC and I didn't particularly want her to either since we more or less agreed it can make you crazy - we pulled out for... 20 years? No issues. But also if I had gotten her pregnant, I wouldn't have been to upset, so I wasn't that concerned about it. Did have a perfect record though, not one plan B or anything like that ever needed.

Don't necessarily recommend this plan for everyone but it worked for us. My wife took hormonal BC (they called it a mini-pill) for about 6 months at one point to try to keep her milk longer, but she lost her milk anyway after a work trip so she stopped and never started again.

Anal! Solving two problems with one boner.

Wife and I went through this recently, I'm betting my posts in the vasectomy thread contributed to this. By no means do I want to promote the idea that safe sex is a woman's responsibility, despite there being a hilarious Patrice O'Neal bit about it. I backed out of getting a vasectomy for the reasons you listed, tried condoms(more miss than hit), and then tried pulling out. I didn't mind pulling out but the wife preferred the opposite to the point that she considered(and got) an IUD. I felt like shit because, in some ways, that seems more invasive than a vasectomy. The hormone delivery is more localized than the pill, maybe that makes a difference. But it was her choice to make. If that didn't work for her in the same way a vasectomy doesn't work for me, we'd have to figure out something else. But never would I give the impression that a "good wife" must put out. Sex, from an intimacy standpoint, is worthless if it feels obligated.

Except at that point why wouldn't you just move in your best guy friend so that you could bro out?

The biggest single reason you and your wife got together is sexual. Same for any marriage.

I mean, I did that too, but prepping for it was considered "too much work" so now I have hemorrhoids which is just one more item on the list of why I feel broken and how no one is going to want me.
You keep digging up doozies on your ex. What else you got buried?

Perhaps I have an abnormal yearning for kink, but I'm not sure what I would consider "too much work" for proper prep. Anal or otherwise. Turning a woman into a gibbering mess is its own reward.

The blood should probably be a 'no, this is too far' though?

Getting more fiber will help a lot with those too. If you're constipated and straining that makes them worse.

Don't know what your diet is like currently but if you're not going #2 for over a week it's probably not great. Changing your diet might to a lot for you, a lot of hormonal stuff is downstream from gut health. There's actual science backing that up too.

I always thought hemorrhoids were caused by straining and pushing to poop rather than letting it just come out. Wtf kind of anal were you doing that caused hemorrhoids?

If you didn't poop for 2 weeks just now, you're clearly constipated for other reasons, do you not think that caused it?

Think this all probably belongs in the health issues thread now, but anyway I just bought a shitload of activia and miralax, so maybe the spirit of Jamie Lee Curtis will bless me, wish me luck.

I'm making an effort not to be a pussy and am going to try going to a trivia night tonight at a local place, even if I think I'll look like a fucking loser going to trivia alone. Trying to get out of my house, at least.

And bonus, you are still on birth control, so you can have fun if the opportunity strikes!

My thought would be everyone going to trivia is looking for social interaction, so don't sweat going alone.

Link up with some other person there who is alone or try to find a small group of ladies to join. Just put it out there. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, but you know what has a 0% success rate? Not trying.

FWIW I never liked either of those very much. I go to Costco now and they have a two pack of giant Metamucil containers and that shit is godly. I've got/had diverticulitis and have had pooping issues over the years and much like Aldarion Aldarion that stuff is life changing. I get the orange flavor and mix a couple spoonful's with some orange juice in the morning and you haven't lived until you have taken the largest most satisfying shit in your life after using that stuff for a couple days. It's almost a religious experience. It's good for your cholesterol too!

Was only two teams there, so small crowd: one family group and a pair of young couples. The couples team let me join them. Ended up winning (I managed to get the entire movie category correct since it was all 90s and earlier shit). They were nice but damn I feel old. The four of them were all born after 2000.
