Surprised the evo212 gave you so much trouble, I've used it in the last few builds and they run pretty cool - even under heavy load I haven't seen any red flags in terms of Temps. Thermal characteristics of your case will also be a detriment depending on what you have.

So you're post-op then?
SO I TOOK A BOTTLE OF HORMONE PILLS AND GREW A FUCKING PAIR. Had to weasel like 5 different people but they couldn't get out of it in the end.

Now I'm going to sell that 770 GTX I got from the RMA for 200 dollars to a friend and this GTX 980 is going to have ended up costing me 36 dollars + gas money.

EVGA G2 series are among the highest rated PSUs in the history of PSUs.
Reviewer accolades have no impact on the device when it shits itself. In that regard, it's a fantastically shit unit. When a Seasonic goes, it goes by itself. When a Super Flower goes, there's a chance that it can take the rest of the system with it. Nice, HUH.

I hate to say it, Mist, but you are one incredibly ignorant human being. ESPECIALLY when computers are concerned. DOUBLY so when computers are concerned, and triply so that you charge people for your ignorance.

Well, in the builds I do, I generally only use Seasonic or more often now, Corsair Seasonic rebrands just because Corsair support is very good to me.

But I've literally never seen a single thing bad said about EVGA G2 series PSUs until you said something.

Isn't jonnyguru universally known as the go-to place for the best and most in-depth reviews of PSU's? I don't think I've ever seen anyone question that site before.

I'd get a better motherboard if you want to overclock, that's the most barebones Asus and doesn't have any of the overclocking features of the A or the Pro, or spend the extra on the 4790k and don't overclock.

I don't understand silences animosity haha
I'm pretty sure he's upset that I haven't posted pictures of myself in stylish womens' footwear.

Also, I mocked his computer problems, which really could have happened to anyone that does extreme overclocking on air like that.

I'm a computer neandertha. Would the Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory be a good bet if replacing my old ram on my 5 year old build? Running into games not running well esp if i have chrome with a few tabs open.

Or can I go cheaper and still decent if it's not part of a cutting edge build.

Can share a cpuz if it helps folks figure out where my bottleneck is. Have a Gigabyte 7970HD I put in a year or so ago. Newer HD when one died. a 3 core CPU that my computer friend unlocked and OC'd a bit when he built it.

You can get away with 1x8gb if you want to save money. Wouldn't go much higher on an older pc

Also make sure your mobo supports 8gb dimms

Hmm i am pretty sure ive only gotten cables off Amazon for the past few years now. More often than not you get cables you need with any GPU or Monitor purchase anyways.

Im sure it would do fine for OCing. I use one of the cheapest Asrock z97 boards and it has no problem running my 4690k @ 4.5ghz. Took all of an hour to get it there and most of that was finding the right voltage.
