Well, that sucks... I went to checkout on Newegg and they dropped the PSU from my cart and marked it as sold out. That's pretty weak...

In store only makes me sad.

$50 less for the CPU than what's available online.

I wonder if the Iron Egg price guarantee applies here. They claim to match lower prices by competitors...

Here's what I ended up getting

Motherboard - Z87 Extreme4 -ASRock Z87 Extreme4 Socket LGA 1150 Z87 ATX Intel Motherboard 6020441 - Micro Center

RAM - Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3-1600 (got it for a crazy good price) -Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit (Two 8GB Memory Modules) 649528757913 - Micro Center

CPU - Core i5 4670K 3.4GHz (it was free!) -Intel Core i5 4670K 3.4GHz Socket LGA 1150 Boxed Processor 521575 - Micro Center

Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (MSI) -MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2048MB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video Card N760 TF 2GD5/OC - Micro Center

SSD - Samsung 840 Pro Series 128gb -Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 128GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PD128BW - Micro Center

Case - MSI Interceptor Series, Ravager -MSI USA ??" Computer Case - Ravager

Had I had to pay for the CPU I would have paid just over $800 for everything with bundle discounts. AS it stands since they didn't charge me for it I was just over $600 for everything. I'm pretty happy with it and pleased I didn't have to spend a ton (even had I had to pay full price). So while I don't have the most top end machine, I would hazard a guess I have one of the best $600 machines around, haha.

for anyone looking to buy a new pc monitor this is a good website that can feed you lots of info on all the korean 27-30" 1440p or 1600p monitors, I bought another 27" qnix 2710 on ebay for $320 shipped so I can run two 1440p's side by side, the one I have now is oc'd to 96hz hoping to get 120hz on the new one.

My 2nd 660Ti arrived yesterday, and got it SLI'd with my old one. Damn nice improvement. The only game I have installed with a built-in benchmark is currently the new Tomb Raider, and it went from avg 50.1 FPS to 95.7 FPS with the second card. The max and min FPS numbers are odd though. The min FPS went from 28 to 40(not a massive jump) but the max FPS went from 68 to 145(way more than double).

Who knows, I'm mainly just concerned with the average, and that the min doesn't drop below 30 in most games, so that was a nice upgrade regardless.

I ended up using 2 different brands of cards, my original was an EVGA card, and this one is a Gigabyte card. The only downside was the the EVGA was more overclockable, I constantly ran it with a roughly 10-15% overclock (GPU + 70mhz and memory + 600 mhz), but the new Gigabyte won't hardly overclock at all, so had to dial them both back to stock speeds for stability. Oh well, still a damn nice upgrade for ~$180(I have the 3GB cards)

I debated picking up a second 760 but this was such a massive upgrade over what I previously had I figured I'd be fine with the one.

Yeah I went about 15 months with my single 660ti and was still totally happy with it. I couldn't justify 2 $300 video cards last year, but now that I found a 2nd one for half that initial price, it was a no-brainer.

Thats the same way I feel, I didn't want to drop almost $300 on an additional one yet, In another year? Yeah probably. I tried to maximize my PC for the cost, hopefully I did a well enough job with it. I don't do this sort of thing very often.

Haha, as someone who spent like $800 on dual voodoo 2s back in the day... Don't do it. Spending that kind of money on video cards doesnt net you much in the long run. They're still going to be obsolete in 3-4 years. About the only thing that depreciates faster than a new car is a high end video card.

So I ordered a 660 Ti GC from Tigerdirect a week ago. It was processing for a couple days, then it was backordered. Then the order was sent to a warehouse for shipping, then it's backordered again. No estimate on when it's ready. It was 180 before a $40 mail in rebate, so I feel like it's as good a deal as I'll find on a card in that performance tier. However, all my other components are either shipped or have arrived and I'm getting impatient. Any recommendations on other cards in the 150-200 price range if I decide to cancel from this horrible company?

Yes. Get extra RAM and snag an i7 and make sure you use OBS and not xsplit
I was going to go with 8gb, should I go 16? Also, want to help me build a sexmachine? I could use input as far as cost effectiveness of some of these parts.
