Eh whatever it is will put another nail in intel - especially if its rumored they can hit 5ghz - should be interesting.

I will wait for 3rd party benchmarks - still debating between new Ryzen or Intel 10600, 700, or 900k for a gaming rig (still running a 4790k). Not going to upgrade my 3950x though on my main. As a quick data point, I get ~510 on Cinebench r20 single core on my 3950x, with a balanced one core (4.4)/ all core (4.0) config (IF=1800) compared to the 631 from that shot above. Keep in mind my one core OC could be tuned better but that is still a decent jump.

Seems ~3600Mhz ram is staying near optimal, power consumption & TDP aren't changing very much if at all. So board, memory, cooling, and PSU wouldn't need an upgrade from Zen2.

5900x outperforming a 10900k at near everything, often using less than half the power, while being cheaper is a big oof for Intel.

Not even worth OCing ryzen honestly.
Yeah overclocking has been super marginalized by AMD clocking itself based on temp, each generation reducing what you can achieve. Wish you could alter maximum precision boost.

Having only taken a look at some summaries of what was announced, it looks pretty decent. Not sure if I'll be going for the 5600x or splurging on the 5800x yet. Probably whichever I can get my hands on first as I'll be coming from an 8700k in a failing system.
