Thoughts between these two because I'm really unfamiliar and looking for opinions and they are the same price at Microcenter... is there any difference other than cores/GHz? Does Matisse suck or does Vermeer suck, etc.?

Ryzen 5 5600X Vermeer
Ryzen 7 3700X Matisse

If you're just gaming/non-professional use, 5600X.

EVGA waitlist on 3080s must be immense. I've only gotten 2 of my 9 total notifies on products - a 3080 and 3060ti. - That aside BB has been pretty quiet this week on GPUs - hopefully they will release some today or tomorrow.

They only seem to be making the top end skus as well. People keep asking about when they'll get notified and the community response is "By 2022".

^^ Yes. Much better for gaming, and close enough in MT performance to not matter. If you really needed MT performance and can't find/can't wait for a 5900x or 5950x than a 3900x/3950x can still be worthwhile, but otherwise Ryzen 5000 is about 20% better than Ryzen 3000 clock for clock.

So I can put the Uni-Fan into any of these slots? I just added some Noctua fans, but want the RGB now. hehe
The rear you can only put a single fan. Front and bottom will take single or a double, top will take single, double, or triple.

If I wouldn’t have already bought a few noctua I would have went with a couple of these instead. I don’t want the RGB but I would’ve liked the more airflow.

Yup, looks like you could do 8 but be aware of how many your MB can control or get a controller

As long as your mobo supports that many. Mine only has four fan pins. One for cpu fan then three for case fans.

Pump header can also be used for a pwm fan, some fan connectors can be daisy chained but don't overdo that.

Those linked Lian-li are awesome. Much less hassle wiring as well compared to Corsair. I found them to be very quiet as well.
