Er, but not home for another 3 hours. And I do still need a small mountain of XP to actually level my VoC to 270+, which I assume is important even for peasant level VOG.

Can take base level of 300s at lvl 25 as long as you know the mechanics for normal VoG. Defender titans and rez locks are their own special level of cheese. Hunters need a bit of skill.

Edit, I can run you through nightfall tonight if no one else does. My titan still needs it.

yeah if you go to bungie.net and log into your profile and click on guardian and a character, it will show stats like how many kills you have, how many PVP games, and total in game playtime. im at 3d 14h on my main, so 86 hours basically sunk into this game i think it took me ~15 hours to hit 20, another 20 hours to hit 28, and then just a lot of afk and grindy time to slowly level up a bunch of items at once.

the xpac news is sad, i was hoping they wouldn't follow the shitty MMO model of RESET EVERYTHING but i knew they would. haha, 3 new story missions that will make no sense and just be horde-defense mode.

it will be sorta interesting to see how they handle the jump from to 20 to 28. a lot of people quit at 20, since fuck that grind/RNG to 28. will bungie cater to them and make it super easy to hurdle up to 30 from 20 for returning players, or make you work hard at it? i suspect they will initially do the latter, and frantically reverse course when player numbers start dropping hard a few weeks after xpac.

definitely has that mmo thing of its really fun when you play every day, but if you stop playing for a week you wonder what the fuck it was that kept you playing every day

Peeps at Bungie just dropping the ball all over the place, i thought my friends were full of it with the text i got saying only 1 new strike coming in the expansion and then i see the official announcement.

Luckily for them this was a digital purchase or it would be well on its way to gamestop atm. The entire issue is lack of content and repetitive nature so they fix our desire for content by giving us 1 strike, 1 raid, and a couple missions on planets we already have access to?

1 Strike? Thats a joke and then some.. The raid could be good if it has more than 2 bosses and we actually had to progress through it to complete it.

Cool, I'll look up raid guides when I get home so I'm not utterly clueless.

Sarth, if your run doesn't overlap with bandwagon's I also have a 26 hunter, or my wife's 27 hunter I could run with you that needs regular raid.

I should be home by 5pm cst.

I'm still in need of regular VoG as well. I'm a level 28 lock, could easily be level 29 considering I have 30 Ascendant Shards stocked up, but I refuse to upgrade my armor any further unless it's the raid level drops. RNG has not been kind to me.

I have Atheon's Epilogue almost fully upgraded, so happy to be on Oracle duty.

Since Bandwagon has the Oracles HM checkpoint, the hard-mode raid could be done in 20-30 minutes -- longer if the plan is to try and take on Gatekeeper too (?).

Yeah when your "expansion" is three missions which take place on an already existing map plus a strike that ALSO takes place on an already existing map then getting a second strike that is exclusive to PS4 is a pretty big deal.

I'm not exactly seeing how this modicum of content warrants $20

Yeah Bungie is on some other shit atm - However this post on their forums is hilarious and accurate.

$20 seems like quite a lot for what they provide....hopefully there are some more details to come (loot changes, class changes, maybe new skills?)
