I have a Bad Seed Down with Full Auto and Faster Reload on Kill, along with a choice between Hammer Forged (+range) and Snapshot (instant ADS), which is about as good as a pre-raid pulse rifle can get, and I still don't use it anymore. The damage difference between it and Suros Regime is massive. Pulse rifles were buffed for release, but they still suck ass compared to the other types.

I have two characters with ~190 Vanguard marks each that are going to hit the hard cap before the weekly cap today. Anyone use either The Comedian or The Swarm for raiding and find them worthwhile for killing Praetorians? I've gotten two dropped Comedians but one is arc and the other was fire before I dismantled it (have a better Judgement VI if I ever need a fire shotgun). I don't have any void damage heavy weapons at all currently, but I also read that The Swarm bought from the shop only carries a retardedly small amount of reserve ammo, something like only 72 without any heavy weapon ammo mods on armor.

Don't really want to waste marks if neither gun is really useful in the raid though. I can always use more shards from buying 65 mark armor, since getting all 3 classes to level 28 has really drained the shard stockpile.

Thanks for the notes about Resto still being in the rotation. I did a few reloads last night but lacked the intenstinal fortitude to continue!

This is all you get for scout rifle primary slot mods:

Scout Rifle - Legendary - Firefly - Precision kills cause a Solar explosion.
Scout Rifle - Legendary - Grenadier - Kills add 10% to grenade energy.
Scout Rifle - Legendary - Outlaw - Extremely fast reload after a precision kill.
Scout Rifle - Legendary - Life Support - Restore 50% of magazine and reload 150% faster after a near-death kill.
Scout Rifle - Legendary - Third Eye - Grants radar while in ADS.

I guess I'll just keep doing the raid.

I don't have much confidence that we could beat the raid on hard-mode, but we should give it a shot this week just to see the difference in difficulty.

I think 2 of us have the primary with void damage that does bonus damage to oracles (Venir and I). Mine isn't unlocked yet.

Column, what else changes? The very first part to get into the raid would be a lot easier if at least 3 of us had the void damage primaries, I think.

Quick question. I am making alts and wondering if i should just chain strikes starting at 17 to level/gear. Do the strikes lower than tiger strike differ in loot rewards in any way? Other than the item level of course.

Ammo capacity for The Swarm is just as terrible as you've read. Only reason I bought it was for the raid, but I've also got Atheon's Epilogue (void AR) to use though it hits like a little bitch. I got extremely lucky with the Deviant Gravity variant (Dead Orbit MG) I got from an engram. One of the three choice options was whatever the option was that adds ammo capacity (on my phone or I'd look it up) plus the first column mod that adds a large chunk of stability. So not only does it hit hard as fuck and have super good stability, but it also has a 60 round capacity with 120 in reserve. Only downside is it's arc damage which sucks for raid minotaurs but amazing when fighting raid bosses or Fallen captains. Suros REGIME + void sniper from raid (once again can't remember name atm) + Deviant Gravity and I can wreck damn near anything, just swap solar sniper in when it's necessary. They just need to add an easier way to change weapons out now. *cough D-pad*

The lowest level playlist doesn't give marks at all. Only the highest level rewards an engram at the end.

Reward item level I think is 4 levels below the level of the playlist.

Yeah, I have a Zombie Apocalypse like that. 75 in the mag, 150 in reserve. Doesn't have the greatest impact or RoF, but it's extremely stable, and in general it makes Super Good Advice look like a flaming pile of shit. Unfortunately it's solar, so it really only gets used to burn down wizards, centurions, and shanks.

I ended up buying both Comedian and Swarm just to try them out. I have a really nice void sniper from the Queen event though, so I suspect that Comedian was probably a waste of marks. It'll probably end up getting used to finish off my Thorn bounty and then thrown in the vault forever. The Swarm hits really hard though, so it may be ok even with the small ammo reserve. It should be able to take down a praetorian shield in just a few shots, then I can switch to my primary to finish it.

I've yet to get a legendary engram from a strike or reward post-patch. They've all been blues (or in the case of cryptarch packages, two blues). Stupid RNG.

Yeah, legendaries appear to be quite rare from all that shit. I'm currently 2 for 18 from 8 ranks of Cryptard mails post-patch, 1 for 9 from daily heroics, and 0 for 3 from the weekly heroic.

Haven't gotten a damn thing worth mentioning from the Tiger playlist either.

It sucks. My armor is actually not bad at this point, but I'm still stuck using a bunch of blue weapons. I'm about to be Vanguard 3, so that'll at least let me buy something off the quartermaster. That, plus finishing Pocket Infinity and I should be in relatively good shape.

Unless you're really unlucky you'll get a legendary weapon from Vanguard rank 3. Double whammies don't seem to be the norm until you're doing ranks 4+.

I have a level 26 Titan and I already have theHelm of Inmost Light. Lately though I have really been loving playing the subclass that gives me the bubble shield Ward of Dawn so I haven't even been using Fist of Havoc to get the benefit from the helm. So my question is should I buy the helm that is for sale on Xur since it effects the special I use more often. I only have 13 strange coins so I would be all in.

So I finally hit 20 on my Warlock. I have paid 0 attention to all the crap being discussed in this thread. Can someone give me a quick and dirty on what the hell I should be doing right when I hit 20? I have shit gear. Mostly green crap.
