LOL as I said, they can fix things like spawn points easily in patches but I don't think they are prepared for zone files just yet. Amazing "hotfix" that changes templar but not Atheon....

Fucking PVP crybabies. Once again these assholes are the reason we can't have nice things.

Is that some behind the scenes % calculation nerf or a straight reduction to the actual damage number? It'll be base 166 now instead? That would be crazy...

Nah, the attack has to stay 300 because that's what allows you to kill level 30 mobs effectively (atk/10 is what you can deal full damage to).

The actual damage a weapon deals is a number we can't see; it's like the base damage for the class of weapon multiplied by the impact stat. They probably just reduced the base damage of all primary slot fusion rifles, since Vex Mythoclast is the only weapon in that category anyway. Alternatively, they could just drop the impact on the VM itself.

No mention of Bad Juju, bleh. Guessing every single person will be using fusion rifle exclusively now, back to pairing it with scout rifle that I used in alpha. They just completely fucked over any AR user with that stability nerf as well as precision dmg nerf. Not only will you miss more shots, the ones that connect will be less effective. And Bad Juju, bleh.. still unusable in pvp.

Bad juju is unusable everywhere. It's one of those things that just shows they rushed this out and didn't give a shit. No one who designed and tested that weapon out would think it is OK as is

Never been happier to be on a scout rifle. Haven't been having any problems with full auto either.

Bummed about Pocket Infinity though. I just finished it Sunday and haven't had time to level it yet at all. Between Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn, it wasn't an immediate priority.

So the whole point of the Suros Regime, what with the significant rate of fire reduction when zoomed etc., was that it was an Auto Rifle that had the stability to be used as a Scout Rifle when zoomed. Significantly lowering the crit multiplier on Auto Rifles and crippling the stability kinda defeats that purpose.

I actually wonder if the loss of crit multiplier when crossed with the lowered rate of fire in zoom mode means that you are better off in full auto with the Suros? (assuming you don't care about burning through ammo)

I doubt anyone plays this on the 360 at all, I never bothered to buy an xbone I don't console game much, so I don't really wanna buy this but, ive heard the game is kinda like borderlands so id like to try it out, so do you guys think this is fun enough to redbox for a few days and dink around on? ive heard theres raids and such and im not sure how in depth it is, but could I experience most of this game within 3-4 days? or would I barely be breaking like lvl cap or something in that time.

I had to go to a work meeting. From what I heard, Lostvirtue knocked him off, but everyone died before they completed it.

Sarthis did it later on solo, then helped me get it (I only got the ship).

The Fourth is trying to solo it now

The first time we did normal mode was very frustrating, but sort of a sigh of relief when we finished. The 2nd time through was a pretty smooth run and satisfying.

Trying to cheese hard mode was fucking frustrating and, as it turns out, wasn't very rewarding.

I hit 20 on my Titan about a week ago, so what's the path to get upgrades? Been doing strike queue and bounties but even on level 22 just getting garbage drops. Like level 18 blues, greens, whites. Haven't found an upgrade in a week at level 20. I'm assuming there's a better way to get gear then doing about 50-75 missions per piece of Vanguard gear.

Tried some PVP, but is it even worth queuing without level 28 gear? Fists and shotgun seem like the only thing that can kill anything. My AR has massive recoil and does like 10 damage to people. Can't find anything better. Also, after coming from Titanfall this entire game feels like running around underwater. Probably due to the 30 FPS but I dunno, is it just me or does the netcode seem ... off.

Doing normal straight up and then cheesing HM twice only got me warlock helm, a ship, and a sparrow... still haven't gotten a single gun from any of it. I don't even really care about the Mythoclast really, doubly so now that the nerf sledgehammer is about to hit it. I only PVE, and because of Ice Breaker I'm never using any other exotic. You'd think RNGesus could at least kick a VoC my way, but NOPE.

astral - the best way to level up is to do public events, strikes, patrol quests, and bounties to level up vanguard. every vanguard level above 2 gives you a care package which will have 1-3 purples, sometimes you get shit on and get shards/energy but usually you will get loot. also once you are level 2 you can buy helm/chest/legs, and at level 3 you can buy weapons (weapon vendor is by ship builder). for pve you will want the int/disc gear, to help your super and grenades (str is for punching). while you are doing this you wanna do at least 1 public event a day for rewards, do as high as you can the weekly strike for coins so you can buy shit when xur is in town on weekends. also farm relic iron (mars), helium (moon), and spirit (venus) since you'll need fuck tons to upgrade your gear. having two alts to run some of the same stuff is extremely helpful too.

public events give vanguard tokens (4/event, max 100/week). patrol quests give 10-25 rep per, the star ones are boss ones that give 25 (+20% if nightfall done for the week).

rng is fine to fill in some of those slots but basically maxxing out your vanguard rep is the best way to buy gear. you can grind it out whenever you want, every little patrol quest on earth/venus/etc gives you 10-25 rep, double it up by taking all the PVE bounties for the extra bonus rep/xp. Its MMO dailies 101, do an hour every day and within 2 weeks you'll be at full level 28 or 29.

for pvp its basically the same except get bounties, run games, spend tokens on pvp gear.

for advanced you'll wanna grab an ice breaker from xur (just missed it), then you can solo the weekly strikes/nightfall.
