Exotic weapon changes

Thorn

Thorn nerfs confirmed as unintended by DeeJDeeJ on Twitter:

Thorn DoT reduced from 7 to 3 damage per tick
Thorn's base damage in PvP reduced from 76 for a head shot to 58

The Last Word

The Last Word now does 32 damage to the body and 54 to the head, down from 49 and 73 (Possibly incorrect, need confirmation/screen shots to confirm)

Ice Breaker

Ice Breaker explosion changed to have actual visible explosion now
Potential damage nerf, waiting confirmation

Pocket Infinity

Pocket Infinity scope has been changed

It will be fucking funny as hell reading all the bullshit people put up with for the next 5 years and 2 months. The next Destiny/Bungie item I buy will be in 2021, when they have all of this in tip top shape. This update included a bunch of stuff that people wanted and that's great! I sure hope the muting system works for all these retards that I have to listen too for 17 seconds.

I'm going to do enough pvp to get some boots for level 30 and going to gamestop to sell it for 6 bucks. What happened to that Bungie person that posted here? Did you realize that you are on a sinking ship or was it all just for some more hype before the game came out?

I dismantled the Thorn after I maxed it out due to it being a piece of shit but it's quite funny it was a "bug" that nerfed it even more.

Did the Raid again on my 27 Titan. Was MUCH tougher than on my 28 Warlock but it was with a group of people who were just screwing around. Took awhile but we did finish the whole thing. I got a Legendary Shotgun, Chest Armor (I've got the exotic titan armor already though), another Epilogue and, of course, Chatterwhite.

Heard they also fixed the glitch where warlocks could have infinite grenades by switching out their grenade type when they had the exotic that gave the grenade energy perk. This also fixed the Rez glitch as well. Good you warlocks are too damn op anyway

I'd love some fucken pve events like iron bounty.. Fuck pvp. It's frustrating pvp players get "content" but Pve don't.

To even try and get to rank 5 with my warlock alt or not. Would get me to lvl 30 easy as I have an exotic helm, raid chest. Something tells me it'll be impossible with only 3-4 hours daily. Bleh, and I don't need shit on my Titan so this event kinda blows.. on the plus side, finally got my NAT problem fixed or at least hope so. Hate having to configure my router to let me play games, should be allowed by default.

Until they add the option to use matchmaking in the daily, weekly, and raid, I will not be excited about anything they patch in, no matter how positive it is.

I notice they increased the weapon levels from 60 to 80 for the new raid weapons.... Do we really need more powerful weapons already? I get the light level mumbo-jumbo to keep people grinding, but weapon level?

Was really hoping that there was going to be a way to keep current exotics relevant. Not so much add extra perks as add damage increase. Even if it takes a fuckload of mats, in order to upgrade from 300dmg to 350 (or whatever it will be)

My worry is that they are also introducing "exotic" crafting materials. Does this mean we HAVE to raid to get a steady supply of these to upgrade stuff? The power creep is strong with this one it seems, 2 months and they more or less obsoleted all the current top-end gear (unless you can upgrade the current batch of items with the magical exotic mats)? Feels a bit....rushed.

They nerved most of the exotic weapons and a bunch of legendary (apparently by accident).

Using my galljhorn(sp) 3 rockets couldn't even kill a 28 Hydra on the weekly (now last weekly) and i was unloading a whole clip from my fatebringer and couldn't kill yellow hobgoblins. 7 rounds from ice breaker wouldn't take down a minotaur either.

Edit: Just found this on Redit regarding the uppded difficulty.

Pre-Patch: Level 28 Titan Defender, High Lord Fixer (267/300), Praedyth's Revenge (300/300), Gjallarhorn (300/300).
Time to completion: 23 minutes
Hobgoblins: 2 crit shots to kill with PR
Minotaurs: 6 shot with PR, 1 shot with Gjallarhorn if all the wolfpack rounds hit.
Hydras: 7 crit shots with PR, 2-3 shots with Gjallarhorn
Reaver Vandals: 2 head shots with PR
Shanks: 1 shot with primary
Captains: 2 shots to bring down their shields, 1 shot to kill.
Reaver Captains: 4 shots to drop shields, 2 headshots to kill.
Dregs: 1 headshot, 2 body shots with primary.
