Blizzard recently announced that Diablo III would officially be coming to Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, and they had a playable demo on the PAX East floor of the PS3 version. While it's largely the same game as its PC original, the developer demonstrated some smart tweaks to the title.
One of the most noteworthy is a new evade roll, which is activated by pressing the right analog stick in the direction you want to move (just like in God of War). It felt natural and helpful, and rolling through barrels proved to be a fun distraction as well.
Powers and attacks are mapped to triggers and face buttons, and a handy legend in the bottom left of the screen lets you know what button does what at all times. Considering most players will be playing from farther away than they would on PC, the camera view is now closer to the player. Another added feature is the ability to quickly cycle through and equip newly-looted gear with the d-pad.
One of the most impressive features is the ability to play with four players online or locally with no split screen whatsoever. It can be in any combination, so you could have three players on a couch playing against one person across the country.
As someone who never played the PC version of Diablo III, I was very interested in what I played today at PAX East. Everything seemed to control naturally, and the visuals look great. No release date has been announced for Diablo III on consoles, but we hope to hear more soon.
They've already stated they want to do the less drops w/ better quality approach on the PC as well. I don't see the purpose of the evasion moves for the PC.PS3 version won't have RMAH. Will have offline play. Less loot will drop, but it will be higher quality. Every character gets a new combat roll/dodge thing.
I wonder if they'll port it to PC.
You got me excited that gem duping was back. I miss 6 million radiant starsRadiant stars for everyone!
because were bros and if one of us knows we should all benefit? you faggot its a fucking game, that is shit anyway since you can just buy your way to victory, so why cant i cheat my way to victory?I hear alt+f4 is big. Seriously, why would you ask about duping here? Fuck you, Mahes.
Demon hunter is really the only twitch class. Monks they sold as one thing and it came out another. The playstyle you are looking for doesn't really work in the mp metagame.I stopped playing diablo3 like two weeks after release. I'm thinking about coming back to it now but I basically only want to play if I can play a highly agile, highly damaging monk that uses fast movement and teleportation to actively dodge blows and melee damage to enact high-risk, high reward damage that only works when played perfectly.
I basically stopped because at the time that gameplay wasn't very rewarding in inferno, is it now?
yeah basically, serenity, blinding flash / light whatever, mantra, ive seen some people try to incorporate combination strike and different generators but yeah i think it all just leads back to this basic build for monks, if you just want to mess around at mp0 id suggest WD they have a variety of builds, you can go a few different bear variations, couple different acid rain/toad builds, even locust swarm can work on mp0. they all basically run the same but some people use ghost bomb with acid rain, darts or even bears and acid rain. Thanks, looks like I won't be playing diablo3 anytime soon. I watched from 11:50 to 13:20 and it looks like he was just facetanking mobs while executing a simple rotation.
Seriously dude, come play some Path of Exile. Many consider it to be the 'true' successor to D2. It's free to download so no lose situation but you won't be disappointedI'm thinking about coming back to it
I had the same problem, levelling up my Monk was awesome and did all kinds of cool stuff. Then you hit 60 and you have to swap out ALL of your moves for defence. What's depressing is that the monk worked exactly as sold when leveling up.
