Yeah I kinda figured that. But I didn't want to bother doing all that. Enjoying my 0dog build now. It's hella fun, sunk about 1.3b into it to get the items.

It's similar to Zombie Bears in damage (imo). It's more of a niche build that's suited to a certain play style. It's reminiscent of the wicked wind build for wizards, where you're spamming a couple keys. It's pretty badass for groups though becuase you are constantly spawning health globes which benefits the group. The gear is retardedly expensive though, my -20 second zombie dog cooldown offhand (homoculus) cost me 700 million gold.

So against all judgement I patched up and jumped on to see how D3 had shaped up. After being slightly frustrated with PoE's slow gear progression (1 new piece every 6-9 levels). I must say after coming from PoE the smoothness of D3 is second to none. The combat just feels so satisfying... I've got a 60 monk already but was bored to tears with it when I first quit at launch.. Now I'm trying to decide between Demon Hunter Wizard and Barb.. Any thoughts?
Also do you still need to go on the AH to get anywhere in this game or can you actually gear yourself out by...you know.. Playing the fucken game...

I'd steer clear of DH for now, they have issues at higher MP unless you have a ton of gold to outfit one and even then it's still worse then barb/wiz. Barb is top dog for farming atm but wizard is not far behind.
As far as AH well you'd probably be better off dropping like 10-20 bucks and buying some gold to outfit a character then rely on drops. Next update(1.09) is the itemization patch so if the AH turns you off might want to hold off till then.

Started my barb up again, 31 to 43 in like 2 hours. This game is fun at this level, hopefully it will still be fun in inferno like some have said. Had 0 gold on my acct, forgot I gave it all away

I spent 200K in the AH and increased my dps by like 3000% so yeah whatever you have can be easily upgraded.

I got my barb from 17 to 60 in a day doing Whimyshire on MP10 at the apporpriate difficulty with the help of a friend. Would usually get 2-3levels per clear using Cain's set and hellfire ring. It seems like the fastest place to level if you have someone to clear it for you.
On another note, barbs are just stupid. I'm having so much fum at 60 with mine. After selling that Spectrum (700dps) for 1 billion, I dropped about 150 million and got my barb to 152k dps and just blow through mp7.
I think d2jsp is the de-facto black market. Shame that guy above sold that Mempo for such a low price. That could have fetched far more on d2jsp.

I wanted to get back up to my original gold before I gave it away and realized I could get it all for around $3.12.. so nuts.
Watched some barb MP10 farming and I think I'll be glad to have made a barb. Might farm with my DH in the meantime to make some money.

So I really hate to admit it but I'm REALLY enjoying playing for the first time since I levelled my Monk to 60 at launch.. Love my barbarian and itching to play a Wizard aswell. How long until this itemization patch? Will this be the patch that finally makes it the game it should have been at launch?

At launch, yes. At this point though, the game should really have at least a new plane of existance or an endless dungeon. The paragon levels were certainly a good idea, but even casuals like me are 70+ now and that was not using any exploit at all. Oh well, at this point I am playing it just to pass the time until Hex starts it's alpha invites. I might check it back out when they add real content.

Itemization patch is still a ways away, they haven't released any new information on it in quite some time and they usually have patches on the ptr for a good month before it goes live so if by some miracle they put it on ptr next week you're looking at 6 weeks from now. Realistically, you're looking at 2-3 months....if not longer.
