10% is better move speed is more interesting. I'm not sure I'd take it over another damage skill though.
Or you could just not use a hellfire ring.
At mp10, a hellfire ring gives you 5.6% more exp, and a 31% ruby in helm only gives you 5% more exp. As soon as I saw how exp was calculated, I dropped both immediately. They are more powerful at lower MPs though. See this website:http://d3xp.weebly.com/

The important thing to realize is that not all mobs give the same exp. Crypt is the best map, but you're wasting time looking for it and prepping it if you're running solo, and three act 2 maps give more exp than fields.
It's actually kind of nice that another act is competitive exp wise; doing the same run over and over is rather lame.

The XP bonus from MP levels is the same type of bonus as from the items, and those bonuses don't multiply on each other. So at MP0, the xp bonus from items is relatively huge. At MP10, it's adding the same numerical amount it is at MP0, but it's a relatively small increase because the bonus from being on MP10 is so big already. It's just a function of math.
If you just want more +XPs numbers, that's how ya get them.I would be interested in reading any analysis that factored in time to search and prep when determining exp per unit time. I can see act 1 being the best in 4 mans with 4 people trying to find a crypt; but for solo I have a hard time seeing it beating act 2 when it can take upwards of 6-7 games to get a crypt and you don't have WDs pulling for you, etc.
Regardless I like to change runs every so often just to make the game more enjoyable.
Late to the thread but Crusader is so baller. Running the entire length of the screen on a single shield charge is ungodly fun and good.
Also, getting the voice actor for Fenris to do the male Crusader was a stroke of genius. I am a fan.

been trying to level a monk on PC but after 10 minutes i get bored, mostly because i get that whats the point feeling with no loot 2.0.
The new loot is fucking ridic; I'm finding shit at level 20 my max level demon hunter would be happy to wear. On top of that, the legendaries are more reminiscent of diablo 2; they have a bunch of really awesome additional things - +health whenever I spent wrath on the crusader, + armor for the same amount of gold I just picked up as a temp buff, an AE dmg spell whenever I am surrounded by 3 or more mobs.
This is just beta, but the crusader class is a ridiculous amount of fun and I am having the old tinglies watching this loot drop. It doesn't have to be amazing, but flavor effects are really making me just want to keep playing, despite knowing my crusader will get wiped after beta.
With the new expansion out, probably easier loot wise to wait, though crafting jewelry comes from quests you can get now, so...sort of a toss up.
I stopped leveling my alts in D3 but I am so all in now when ROS launches.

That's the problem, I WANT to play Diablo 3 but I really see no reason to use up my gaming hours on it when the expansion makes almost everything I do right now moot. I was considering trying to cash out some of my gear but it just doesn't even look worth it to do that.
exactly how i feel. Dont want to play it on console either since RoS will be an even longer wait. Loot 2.0 needs to hurry up and come out.

Thinking about decaying crypt runs, monks _might_ have it best since they can match a barbs run speed but don't need to kill anything to do it. And EP scales wonderfully into higher MP.
