Yeah, shit being BoA is kind of pointless since it invariably itemizes the primary stat towards the character it drops for.
I think once the crusader is out it will be a little better.. since a lot of wizard loot can be used by the WD. Monk <> DH. Currently only barb gets jewed, but the crusader should allow that to be a little better.

I got my HC wiz to 60, and in maybe 2 hours I got him up to 75k damage, with 632k toughness lol

Also, here is a new build I have been playing with.

Wizard - Game Guide - Diablo III

Take lots of crit and attack speed, can supplement with APoC if needed.

The way to play this is hold LMB for Electrocute. It will spark like crazy with crits. Add in the shocking aspect/storm armor, magic weapon/electrify you chain stun, generate AP and do great DPS. While doing that, RMB for Meteor/Comet on crowds/bosses.

Can interchange glass cannon for defense if needed.

*Updates*
An imitation cms/ww stun build using lighting in stead. Use APoC helm, attack speed, crit....spam meteor in between electrocutes and most things are 75% stunlocked till dead. Testing on T4 so far.

Using the chantodo's that adds 1.7 stun chance.

So what are people doing with their barbarians now that whirlwind doesn't work anymore? I've just reverted back to a pretty boring bruiser build and am riding rend/seismic slam for AE damage.

I see lots of wizards picking meteor, but I personally don't see the point. Meteor does a delayed 500% weapon damage at the cost of 40 mana. Things like disintegrate or arc lightning do far more damage, for less cost or even free. I tried meteor for a while just because it seems so popular. I was very unimpressed though.

Witch Doctor - Game Guide - Diablo III

Get attack speed, fire damage and Firebats damage where you can, also + physical can be good because of the fetishes and other pets.

Essentially you pump out 5-15 fetishes with Firebats and zombie wall (Fetish Sycophants passive) and run around and watch them devour everything while using zombie wall to taunt the screen. Use Big Bad Voodoo liberally because with the Grave Injustice passive shit cools down fast. My fetishes hit for almost 300k each swing. Firebats ticks for 800kish damage for me with only 105k character dps. I have about 550k toughness and can clear Torment 2 with no issues.

Also this build @ 70 will be even better with the passive that gives pets 50% more damage. Couple that with the WD set that lets you have Fetish Army (the skill) out full time, you will have 20+ fetishes on the screen at once a lot of the time.

This is basically what I had in mind when they introduced the WD but it really never panned out. Now its pretty nice to have an army of minions doing useful stuff for me.

I actually leveled with the sycophant/firebat synergy, also had the other pets, was very easy and pretty "necro-ish", giant fat ass cleaving, 4 dogs and 5-6fetishes(low attackspeed when lvling) and using the free firebats since mana regen and shit sucks when lvling. There's also pet legendaries that give +100%attackspeed and +50%dmg or something like that, so your fetishes eventually become quite beastly, even though the scaling isn't the greatest for torment 6 lvl 70.

Oh also one weird thing about my DH. The spider companion is a crazy tank, at least on master. Somehow holds aggro easily on bosses and shit and tanks like a boss, while doing a fair amount of damage(140% cleave that also slows for 60%). Tanked Azmodan, Diablo and so on while I was sitting almost offscreen shootting impales non stop.

Found two upgrades last night that basically changed my entire build. A 1h wand with +17% arcane damage and 60% cd reduction on slow time and some Boj Anglers with +12% damage to Energy Twister (Xaldren#1414). Ended up with an arcane-centric Energy Twister - Raging Storm build. I use Spectral Blades - Siphoning Blade to get AP and then spam Energy Twister. Temporal Flux + Slow Time = slow as molasses mobs.

However, I might just ignore the 12% damage to Energy Twister though bc the spell is pretty random feeling. I'd rather feel more in control of what I'm doing with Arcane Orb - Obliteration, which is what I was mostly using before.

Also, I thought I was doing fine solo on Torment II, then I joined up with some other RR ppl and I then realized how slow I kill stuff. Thanks for carrying me through Act I though!

I think Power Hungry is incredibly under utilized, specially when you have items that spawn more health globes on kill.. most often I can just straight up spam frozen orb, and drop a huge meteor after freezing w/ glacier spike.

Are the dungeons with random zone layout and monster mix gated behind something? I think nephalem rifts is what they call them now, was described as loot runs and indepent from the nephalem stuff when they first described them. I saw someone mention that you need to farm something to enter them. Since that's one of the features I am looking forward to it would suck if I have to farm a day to run one such dungeon for an hour.

So to all those that gave been playing the new patch, does this fix the game for you?

or is there still lots of things that ruin it?
I've been playing it 2 nights now. I have to say the loot makes it more exciting but it's still same old diablo 3. If you got bored before you will get bored again. Eventually what used to be exciting (yellow rares) you don't even bother with and now it's just grinding for orange (legendary) items. Same shit different color.

I do enjoy the new paragon leveling though. Best addition to game imo.

Pretty sure its going to be like d2 now, you'll want some legendaries for the unique affixes because they can make a build, but lottery rolled rares will be best in slot.

try using frost nova with the +30% dmg and watch them elites die in 3-4 orbs
