So after seeing some posts here I started D4 back up. I played it at release and thought it was pretty lackluster. But they must have changed a lot because I am having a lot of fun on a play through right now. They must have added a lot of shit and something with the flow of the game and the multiple farming options (pit, under city, hell tides, etc...) just works well. It plays nice, looks better then it did (I think more tilesets and art maybe), and the combat is fun, seems faster paced than I remember. I'm sure I'll get bored and be done in a couple weeks when I have like 4 star gear all maxed out and nothing to do , but for now it's fun, worth the $40 for the two expansions I feel, even the campaign plot was decent for single playthrough. I just wish they added actual difficult encounters, but I know it's not that type of game unfortunately.

I stopped playing whenever the expansion came out. Bought, and never played it. They added quite a bit in that time, from a couple classes to not bricking on tempering. What I love the most is the mob density during Helltides and you can actually get mythic uniques without being too invested with your time.

Not sure if this gets said, but the sound in this game is amazing along with the voice overs. Whoever voices Belial is GREEEEAT! " You think this is over?! This is just the beginning!"

What are you doing in helltides to get mythics?

Most of mine have come from Undercity.
Then how are you getting them? I am trying to get my shroud.

26 mythics. 18? came from Undercity using these...

I have like 20 more if you want to run them. Mythics are like a 30% drop rate with them. I'm literally just salvaging them at this point.

I hadn’t played this since it came out. Reinstalled and got up to 60 with 40 paragon in just maybe 6 hours of play.

Seems fine enough for what it is. More casual than POE 2. I haven’t got into any kind of end game obviously (I haven’t even unlocked torment yet.)

I don’t play games a lot anymore so it seems kinda fun at the moment for something casual. POE 2 was too slow / grindy / complicated when you don’t know anything about it.

I think POE2 and even POE1 are superior overall games. I just do not have the desire or time for that type of game. Never been a big fan of economy driven games anyway.

Yah, exactly. I have no doubt they’re better games, they’re just too much for a casual player at least in my experience. I’m sure if you have the time to dive into them and really learn the systems they’re more rewarding.

I started a season character as I had this free on PSPlus... it doesnt appear that there are acts though - it just throws you in some town and you can go anywhere and do seemingly everything. Do I have to make a non season character to play the campaign?!

I think (at least I feel like I read this) you specify when you start a new character if you want to do the story or not. Otherwise it just pops you into that town.
