For whatever reason, we fired up D3 again and been playing through the new season. Forgot just how fun it is and how far that game had come over the course of its time. I've been seeing some D4 comments that it has improved quite significantly. We'll complete the D3 season pretty quickly, anyone think its worth to give D4 another chance? We may have played it the first couple of months before stepping away from it completely.

If you already own it no reason not to. Really has D3 vibes in that its a fun time for a few days to a week depending on play time. You'll hit a point where there's nothing else much to do unless you REALLY wanted to make an alt but, with the limited inventory, that can be a PITA depending on how much of a pack rat you are.

Got my pally over 100 abyss and no real desire to optimize or push further. Great time though with the paladin. Feels really good to play.

Not just fun to play, but on an HDR monitor all of it's spell effects are pretty amazing to look at too, especially if you're casting stuff like consecrate a lot.

Project Diablo 2 for all your Diablo itches

While this got me to play more D2 than I ever played before earlier this year, I am shallow and need my games to be new and shiny :(

For those that can get past that, this is indeed amazing and worth digging into for anyone who remotely enjoyed D2.
