What do you think Holly has to do with WoW's design? Just kidding I don't care.

That 40% non-white team doing work though, you right dawg!
Quit being a disingenuous cunt.

she’s the executive producer. She’s helping set the vision. Good try though.

New classes are usually always fun to play for a season or 2. Since they are usually OP, especially something like warlock that is tied to an expansion, have to make people spend $. Paladin was fun and had a few builds that were fun(hammers, aura, or the brandish one).

Problem with these games(diablo, PoE), for me at least, is they are just not long term games. Its get in, level, get the core items for a build, go run through content for a week or two, getting upgrades and such, but I just cant sit and grind paragon, pit levels, or like in poe's case maps/ubers etc.

At least the couple weeks of most new seasons, especially if it has new class, are always worth it and fun in these games.

I'm in the same boat. I play for a few weeks each season, get an initial class to 60 with a bunch of paragon, then probably run a second class through, and then I'm done. But nothing wrong with that, I'm 52 this year, with 2 kids and a decent career, I don't have the time to EQ a game (and to a lesser extent the way I played WoW at the start), and it's probably good that the game isn't like that as something more important would suffer for it.

D2 is in a good place if you want something to mindlessly farm. The good loot is rare as fuck still.

Think you’re looking for Diablo 2 Resurrected thread since there are no Warlocks in Diablo 4 until the 2nd expansion launches April 28

I’m prolly gonna go Barb or Paladin this time, since Season 12 is a short one. Did Hammerdin last time, completed everything early then dipped out. Lots of builds viable in either class.

Just don’t pick Necro until they fix mobility.

Warlock looks good, this cinematic is so badass

Their cinematics are insanely good, but I honestly don't see myself ever logging in again. Not to say the game is bad at all, but it should have been SO much better.

Glad people are still enjoying it, maybe one day - especially if they bring more Lilith-like encounters. I thought she was fun to learn, although P2 was a bit overtuned. (This is from launch -> S3, haven't played in a while)

I am stunned, they are adding a loot filter and a map overlay. Thought Blizzard would die on that hill for d4

I played D4 out of nowhere and just lazy build hammerdin that can clear L80. Was pretty satisfied with that two weeks experience learning everything from scratch after 2yr hiatus.
refrained from trying other builds to hold out for this expansion and thought I may do another Pally again. the warlock seems abit slower and animation heavy, idk

Boys, they got me... Diablo is my weakspot.

Only gave them money for the normal version though, doing a campaign run since it was ages ago I played through the story. Trying the Paladin then Warlock for release.

I'm ashamed... But I blame GGG releasing PoE2 0.5 late May.

It's a decent game and I feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of it but yeah, only the normal box price and fuck cosmetics.

I'm actually kind of happy Poe2 season is end of May, because that's basically enough time to play the d4 expansion with 1 or 2 chars and put it down again till the next. I would have been bummed if they released at the same time. I kind of wonder how much the d4 expansion release affected the PoE2 0.5 release date, if at all.

Diablo 4 isn’t a bad game per se. it’s a popcorn version of a dark arpg. Visuals are dark but gearing is simplistic. I do think balance is all over the place.

Probably get more out of the new season the the last one i played when Pala was released. New class, whole new story (and the story in this game actually isnt bad), new endgame and they 4x the size of talent trees so lots of new. This will never be PoE complicated, but I dont want it to be I play PoE for that. If i can get 2-3 weeks per season out of it I am happy, and i have spent far less here then I have for PoE 1 and 2 lol.

It seems they are changing up a lot in the expansion. Have not looked at much of it but it seems people like it.

Also RIP bozo in the opening cinematic, glad that person is gone from the story.

Have not played the story since release and only played S1 and S2 I think. But it's more gore than I remember.

Also, the game works pretty flawless with controller. And seemless switching to keyboard works, time for GGG to fix that.
