It seems they are changing up a lot in the expansion. Have not looked at much of it but it seems people like it.

Also RIP bozo in the opening cinematic, glad that person is gone from the story.

Have not played the story since release and only played S1 and S2 I think. But it's more gore than I remember.

Also, the game works pretty flawless with controller. And seemless switching to keyboard works, time for GGG to fix that.
I know it's IGN, but it had some okay information. I'll probably pick it up along with the older expansion around Christmas during the sale and once they iron everything out.

I played D4 out of nowhere and just lazy build hammerdin that can clear L80. Was pretty satisfied with that two weeks experience learning everything from scratch after 2yr hiatus.
refrained from trying other builds to hold out for this expansion and thought I may do another Pally again. the warlock seems abit slower and animation heavy, idk

This is all this game has been for me. Play for a couple weeks on the occasional season and then stop. Honestly this expansion looks fun and new classes are generally always fun for a while, until they usually get nerfed.

Don't need to spend months or years in a game, great if it happens, but as long as you have fun and get your money's worth. I treat this and poe the same way.

PoE doesn't cost anything though(other than the initial 30-40bucks you spend for stash at some point and that for some reason works in both games). This is 40 bucks expansions every year or whatever, and it still has microtransactions for cosmetics too(and similarly overpriced as PoE ones) so yeah kinda rough. I might still grab it, I haven't played the game at all so it'd cost me 70 euros but with the base game+2 expansions and a good amount of classes I'm interested in(especially with Warlock being added a secondary pet class after Necro) it sounds like I could pretty easily get 100hours out of it which would be plenty fair for the price.

I added it up recently. If you were to start fresh on PoE and buy all the specific tabs + 1 quad + 6 merchant tabs would be 1120 PoE coins which is $112 or ~$80 on sale. Now that lasts forever but thats the bare minimum i feel to make PoE playable. You may want a second or third quad if you are end game grinder and those are $15 each.

I don't have all the specific tabs though, I just throw a lot of these shits into normal tabs, it's good if you switch your atlas strats a bunch or if some get more nerfed than others but some of the specific tabs otherwise are only used if you specifically grind that mech, and some are outright useless I think like gem tab or flask tab.

Checking the amounts right now since I'm curious, Currency tab is 75, map is 150, Fragment 75, 6 premium bundle is 200, quad is 150 and for other assorted shit maybe a 6 normal tab pack for 150 or a mix of normal and league specific tabs so ~800 total which I guess is about 75-80 dollars but with a sale it's a bit less. I don't think you need much more until you go really deep into PoE.

That said I should revise my estimation yeah I guess I bought stuff slowly over the years and haven't paid attention to the whole total, it is like a $60 game overall, but then again you could have spent most of that money back when D3 was a thing and still use it now, and across both games so still overall a lot cheaper.

Yea the point wasn't to diminish the value of a game like PoE. Its still my fav ARPG, but like anything they can get you , particularly in hideout stuff since you are not buying unlimited copies of a decoration etc.

Btw once you try a gem, flask or div tab you can never go back the QOL is insane lol.
