Dominion on SyFy (old thread deleted)

An epic supernatural drama set in the year 25 A.E., "Dominion" explores a transformed post-apocalyptic future where an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, has waged a war of possession against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, has chosen to side with humanity against Gabriel. Rising out of the ashes of the 25 year-long battle are newly fortified cities which protect the human survivors. In Vega (formerly Las Vegas), the largest of these cities, two houses vie for control and the stage is set for political upheaval and a dangerous power shift. Meanwhile, a rebellious young soldier begins a perilous journey as the war between the human race and the fallen angels hell-bent on their domination escalates.

Premiering on June 19 at 9/8c, "Dominion" is based on the film Legion by writer-director Scott Stewart and stars Christopher Egan, Tom Wisdom, Roxanne McKee, Alan Dale, Anthony Stewart Head and Luke Allen-Gale.

That looks really bad. I'm guessing most episodes will focus on the political backstabbing going on between the two families, but hopefully I'm wrong.

defiance and dominion premiere tonight

Kinda cool so far...although I'm getting a heavy Dune vibe lol

that was excellent, lot better than I hoped/imagined it to be. Story was riveting, didn't get bored at all and looking forward to seeing more. The casting was good too I thought, I dunno their names but they are forever gonna be Matt Damon as the chosen one and Keanu Reeves as Good Angel to me.

dune comparison is spot on, it really did feel like a modern twist on Dune

if this is the new stuff SyFy can put out, bring it on

SyFy channeling FX is far better than SyFy channeling WWE.

I thought the acting was meh. I liked the setting in Vega(s) though.

Cause it said beware of those close to you or something like that.

I thought it said 'Beware of the House closest to you' - meaning the House of Whele (the Senator and his son William).

Well, it does fit with the biblical theme. It will make his relationship with Claire odd, though. She basically worships Jesus 2.0 then finds out her lover is Jesus 2.0 ;p
