Dunno, but most mills are owned by a fortune 500 companies. Unless you need a speciality product milled locally it's not like some mom and pop comanies.
But a couple of million here and a couple of million here passed along to the mills isn't going to change the way they mill lumber. That fine would have to be in the many millions if not billions. So if you don't like the idea of buying a 1-3/8 x 3-3/8 2x4 you might want to look into other building materials.
