Going to be interesting when the add Arc Warden considering how 6.79 has played out... double midas at minute 5-6 & double Dagon 5 at minute 20.

Well there's plenty of new items being added, they're just not added frequently. You cited Harkon's Blade and Spellshards, but there was what a 1.5year gap between these 2? Harkon was added very early in HoN, pretty sure during beta still, Spell Shards were added after the game went F2P or around that time.

If you want some of the more recent dota items: Smoke of Deceit(big addition for support play, early agression, ganking, lategame turn around), Tranquil Boots(cheap alternative for supports, have gone through multiple forms, similar to HoN boots in some ways), Veil of Discord(added a while ago, similar to Spell Shards in some ways, has been buffed regularily), Rod of Atos(fairly niche item but pretty strong nowadays, just tends to be ignored in favor of sheepstick for heroes that can farm money and for more utility oriented stuff for those that can't), Ethereal Blade(lategame nuking item, synergy with int nukers as well as other utility effects), Drums of Endurance(utility/support, great buildup), Ring of Aquila(a bit meh but easy buildup). All these were added in the past 2-3years as far as I remember.

There's also constant tweaking of existing items so they become more useful or more interesting, and everytime a hero gets a new aghanim upgrade it's a pretty interesting change.

I think you might be bored with the game which creates some bias but overall, the game is updated and changes a lot. It's not weekly patches but it shouldn't be, not even every 2weeks, changes need to settle and the meta needs to evolve before you can make changes that are actually useful. Even then every 3-4months there's fairly big patches that change quite a lot of stuff, and new heroes are added every other major patches(so like every 6-8months, might be longer sometimes). Sometimes new items are also added.

I always find each big version change, to be a nice refreshing change in the game. 6.79 truly changed lane dynamic in pub dota for both the offlane and safelane. And as pyros said - there have been a lot of things added or tweaked in substantial ways. Necrobook hasn't been a good item for a couple years just because you could gib the creeps with a 1900 gold item. Maybe it needs to be nerfed some now - but the changes in 6.79 basically added the necrobook back into the game as a reasonably common item. Batrider is finally not a first pick ban but still a good hero. And that's because of his nerfs but also other heros being buffed up - natures prophet is not in every AP game now with the shadowblade and the buyback nerf.
We just got two new heroes 2 weeks ago as well. And heroes that no one who plays dota 2 has ever seen.

Um this is not the kind of game you are looking for if you expect new shit every week. The whole point of this game is to be a mostly balanced esport platform. That being said, I'm still having as much fun as my first game of dota 10 years ago with some of the initial heroes. Balancing here and there is perfectly fine with a new hero every 2 months+. As for items I'm fine with every item in the game, the only one i miss is from hon where you could toggle your melee auto attacks to be magic instead. twas nice on some heroes

At no point did I state any sort of required timeline on new introductions. Just the lack of truly dynamic changes / evolutions of the game, sans 6.79 (the only memorable change I can think of in Dota 2 since release). I'm completely on board for delayed updates for sake of balancing, I've no complaint there - especially if Dota 2 stays the e-sport staple.

Valve officially don't give a shit anymore.

It's going to be a top seller because people expect it to be pulled

Well the ears is what makes the set stupid. Rest of the set looks ok, if she was wearing an actual cat pelt on her head, kinda shaman/huntress style, it'd work out alright. They could just fix that.

The in game ground level chase cam really takes admiring the in game cosmetics to another level. Clever ploy by valve.

Under their banner, to the left of the search box, is a filter section where you can filter out the streams/news for certain games. You may have clicked it by accident.

That's a despicable bug. Using veno wards on rosh to allow SF get denies before the game even starts. Something I'd expect from Alliance.

Anyways, WTS TL Flag, this team fucking sucks. Will sell for 50 cents.

Depends, being pretty solid top 5 team in the west is nothing to scoff at, however their matches against Navi/Alliance are not even close.
