So let the record show, I've been the only person in Rerolled history banned for a week for arguing, and I got a 30 day RRP for god knows what this time.

Was the infraction for the word Chimp out? A word that is only racist in conjunction, or context with black people. Clearly this is neither. Maybe Tarrant believes anything with chimp no matter what the context applies to Black people? That makes you a racist..

well for one, the term chimpout is a RRP-able offense, use that at your own peril and for another you completely shat up the star wars thread. i dunno if you deserbe a 30 day ban, id give you a 3 day ban til the discussion was able to get back on course instead of shit derails like barrel rolling cameras and shaky ass wipes.

A derail is getting completely off topic. The topic at the time was the trailer, and we were discussing the editing on said trailer. It compromised of one page of debate in a 90 page thread...

As far as the word Chimp out, being a RRPable offense. A word that seems to be used daily on this forum, in racist, and non racist terms. I'd like to see that posted from a mod himself prior to this incident

Speaking of supposed derails, they are still going on about editing, and crossbars 35 posts later after I closed with this

The fact is a storyteller has everything at his disposal. In essence there are no cheap gimmicks if it forwards the story, and you can draw the emotion out of a crowd you intended to.

Anything can become lazy when it's done poorly, and used as a gimmick versus intelligently planing it out. Has JJ done it before in some films? yes, but he is way better now imo then he was 5 years ago.

The Falcon scene at the end of the trailer transitions from a dark screen with the words " and the light" to a booming score of the original Star Wars music with the Falcon flying up to the heavens, and back down to an unknown planet where they are pursued by tie fighters.

It's a very uplifting scene, and is also very nostalgic for long time Star Wars Fans to know this is a continuation of a story they thought would never happen.

It works, so the Editor succeeded no matter how he got there.

people get away with it so often because nobody is reporting it, same as the n word and other slurs. just be aware if somebody does report it then you should expect a small vacation from posting. although it doesnt look like thats the reason for your RRP, its because of the derails in the star wars thread and you really should retrace your steps to see where you went wrong and try to change the way you make an argument and maybe you wont get scooted here so often. i know i am nobody to tell anyone how to post, i get some serious hate, but i have changed a ton since back in the day when i flamed people for having a different opinion. now i just try to counter the argument without having to resort to name calling. IMO if you have to do that then you lose no matter how great your comeback was.

It is not the same as the N word, far from it. When you use the N word that is specifically a slang for Black people. It can be used in no type of context that is not racist

Chimp out can be used outside of the context of racism, and has grown to mean going off the wall crazy.
In fact Chimp out was used far before it became a racist comment.

The way I used that word had nothing to do with black people.In that context going Ape shit is the same damn thing since that has been used in the past to describe black people as well.
