Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
I couldnt get into that movie. Too much of a old Hollywood love story combined with being some weird revenge porn involving one of Hollywood's bigger pieces of shits. The fact that child raping piece of shit Polanski still gets nice things wrote about him is a clear sign of how utterly fucked Hollywood is.
It was visually stunning and well made and acted, but I can't say I was overly "entertained" - it was amazing, but......?. I think if you were not a fan or at least familiar with the source material the movie would have been a snooze fest. Also, fucking perfect ornithopters - amazing.
Yeah I imagine normies had to be puzzled and asking why in the far future they used swords and how come there wasnt any electronics/gadgets being used.

I don't see the point in introducing Feyd-Rautha now. Should've just combined his story with The Beast Rabban like they seemed to be doing in pt 1.

I feel like Rabban was barely in the book. They need to show his infamous cruelty in pt 2.

Based on the first movie I feel that there's not enough time for the second movie to sufficiently delve into the following: feyd rautha, rabban, the emperor, the princess, alia, baby leto 2, reverend mother jessica, and gurney. This first movie had very little character drama because villenueve had to fast forward through many plot points within the movie time limit, as a consequence it's hard for viewers to connect with the characters of Dune

shame

at this point I'm thinking movie time constraints are too limiting on the Dune universe

I do not like her acting or screen presence. At all. Just Scowly McPouty face, Midsommar was just a long meme of her crying and pouting.

I haven't seen anything with her more recently, so maybe she has improved her range, but I am not excited about this choice.
She did a fantastic job in Disney's Hawkeye.

I also liked her role in Outlaw King(Added bonus of tits). That role, more than any other, probably represents how she will do as a princess in Dune.

Jason Momoa says there is a 4-6 hour cut of Dune Part 1, but Denis Villeneuve really doesn't do directors cuts (apparently there is one for Blade Runner as well.) Maybe he will change his mind after Part 2 comes out and we will get some epic 8 hour combination or something

I love the way Feyd Rautha looks in that picture. He was the more intelligent of the Harkonnens, and it does show it in that close-up. When I first saw the picture of the actor, I was not convinced, but, damn, that is some poster magic right there.

So hyped for Dune 2.

the baron was more intelligent than feyd, but it’s hard to draw a true comparison because feyd was too young to draw from a well of experience

That audition must have been wild. I trust Villeneuve to cast properly so I wont criticize it till I see it play out but he is a hell of an actor
